CurledKit padded through the territory, accompanied by two other kits, a small smile playing on his face. The swamp was amazing! But that wasn' t why he was smiling. EmeraldKit thought he was cute! That was a shocker to him. Usually cats thought his ears bizarre. Wrapped up in his own thoughts, CurledKit nearly tripped over a root. "Stupid root." he grunted.

EmeraldKit giggled and jumped over the root CurledKit had tripped on. "Isn't this awesome?" she asked him, looking around at the moonlit swamp.

LeafKit followed them and bit more slowly watching them with curious amber eyes. She was undoubtedly the youngest and by a few moons too. She looked around her and contemplated uncharacteristically serious. Quite frankly she didn't see anything to exciting about this place, the rogues had been better, they'd even run into and assassin and everything. LeafKit let out a sigh wondering if her mother would take them to visit Shade anytime soon. If that happened then her and Icy could just disappear and wander. Hmmmm... or maybe she could talk Comet into taking her to the rogues. Her Grandfather was so gullible when it came to her and her siblings.

CurledKit nodded and smiled to EmeraldKit, then glanced back at LeafKit. He frowned. "Why so serious, LeafKit?" This wasn't like her. "Look if its about me and your sister I totally didn't mean it. She was being a jerk to EmeraldKit-and me."

LeafKit just shrugged and smiled showing she took no offense about him fighting with her sister. "Eh, she's hard to get along with sometimes" She agreed and laughed softly... she would know. "Don't mind me, I'm just.... thinking" She continued speeding up a bit to catch up to the other two cats.

"You don't think it's as exciting as we do, do you?" EmeraldKit asked, not in a snotty way, but in a sincere way. "Not that I could blame you!" she added quickly, so as not to sound like a jerk, "You've seen the Rouges and that would probably have been awesome, so i can understand how this would seem dull!" she then tilted her head to one side, "right?" she asked.

"Well, yeah, the rogues was pretty cool. This is alright but not the same" LeafKit mewed flashing a sincere smile. Hmmmm... she's pretty smart too, I bet Holmes would have thought she was cool too she thought then shrugged to herself. All well, she'd probably never see that tom again much less EmeraldKit meeting him... out of all the bunches of rogues that there was.

CurledKit glanced at EmeraldKit, clearly unnconvinced by LeafKit. "Hey, where's that little spunky she-kit that fwapped me upside the head right after she was born?"

LeafKit giggled "You had that one coming for getting your head too close to my paws" She retorted giggling more loudly. Just to prove her point she smacked him across the head with her paw. "Just like now" She added squeakily.

"Ouch." CurledKit complained, smiling. "You know, you've got quite an arm for a young kit." he complimented, glad LeafKit was happy again.

LeafKit shrugged and rolled onto her back to look up at the stars that were just barely visible through the dense thickness of trees. LeafKit loved the stars, they were so pretty, especially against the dark sky. "Well, I try" She giggled only half listening to whatever was going on now. Her amber eyes had discovered the stars....

CurledKit watched LeafKit with amusement and rolled over next to her to look at the stars as well. He motioned to the ground next to him. "C'mon, EmeraldKit."

EmeraldKit looked form CurledKit to LeafKit and sighed. She padded over to the swamp's edge, about 3 fog-length's away, and dipped her paw in the water, sheathing and unsheathing her claws underwater.

CurledKit padded over to EmeraldKit, leaving LeafKit to look at the stars. He sat next to her, watching her claws. "What, you don't like the stars?"

"No!" EmeraldKit said, "There beautiful!" "It's just..." she trailed off and looked up into CurledKit's eyes, they were brighter than the stars to her.

LeafKit was watching them out of the corners of her amber eyes. She frowned again. "I thought we were coming out here to explore. I didn't know I'd volunteered to watch you two gaze into eachother's eyes" She grumbled and tehn got to her small paws. LeafKit started walking away from them with the usual skip in her steps.

"Oh, put a cork in it." CurledKit shot back to LeafKit, then looked at EmeraldKit in surprise. "Wha...yes, I do like her. I love LeafKit like the sister I never had." He put an emphasis on sister, so to imlplie that there was nothing romantic between them at all.

LeafKit hadn't heard a thing. She was skipping toward the rogues a delighted look on her face. She wondered if she should go back and get Comet to come with her like Holmes had suggested: "bring an adult cat that you trust with your life" but being her she ignored that little advice and continued on her way.

"Oh" she said again, and her cheeks became red. EmeraldKit was rapidly trying to think of an excuse for why she asked the question. Because, she herself didn't know why, she felt all happy and energetic around CurledKit, and when he was playing with LeafKit she got all hot and angry, but the poor kit had no idea why. Lost in her thoughts, EmeraldKit did manage to notice LeafKit walking away and tilted her head to one side ((I guess I'll add that to her bio, i seem to make her do that when she's confused)) "Where's she going?" she whispered to CurledKit, not meaning to change the topic, but really wondering why LeafKit was leaving.

CurledKit turned to look at LeafKit as she toddled off. "Hey LeafKit!" he called after her, but didn't movef rom where he sat. "Where you going?!"

By this time little LeafKit was out of sight and earshot her tail waving happily behind her. She stopped at the top of a hill just on NatureClan's side of the border. If she went down the hill she would then be in rogue territory. LeafKit hesitated not because she was uncertain on whether or not to go into the territory but because a nice chill breeze blew toward her. It felt good, like she was free and then the trees were fewer here and she could better see the stars. In a few moments, I'll enjoy this first, then move on She decided a smile on her kitten face.
