CurledKit felt his pelt tingle as EmeraldKit brushed up against him. He quickly figured out her intentions and began ti creep backward as well.
Holmes shook his head. "No thanks, SpottedPath. I have some business to attend to." he politely declined, then turned to LeafKit. "Watch yourself Little Puff, hm? We don't want you running into VampireBat again any time soon. And remember the advice I gave you yesterday." And then he was gone, trotted away toward the rogue border.

EmeraldKit cleared to the bushes, and quickly ducked down into them, unseen by any of the other cats. "Quick!" she whispered to CurledKit, almost unaudibly.

LeafKit almost had a hurt expression on her face as Holmes left and then increased when she noticed that EmeraldKit and CurledKit had snuck off... without her... How saddening. She let out a sigh and sat down, looking up at her mother. "I guess we can go back now" She squeaked almost reluctantly looking over her shoulder several times to where Holmes had disappeared. LeafKit would have looked to where EmeraldKit and CurledKit had disappeared as well, but she didn't really know where they had disappeared off to soooo that was out.

Icy looked at her mother her face was riggid with a frown, she did'nt want to be grounded or go back to camp, maybe she should try the rogues, as ideas flashed in her mind she thought each carefully through, what would her mother say. If she mentioned her going off to the rogues SpottedPath would most likely say NO. Icy shook her head in fustration but got to her feet/paws.

SpottedPath nodded. "Ya know, you're lucky I'm not going to ask VioletStar to keep you as kits for an extra moon," she began, and started to pad away back towards camp, when she froze, looking around.
"Where's CurledKit and EmeraldKit?" she asked, staring intensely at IcyKit and LeafKit. Did VampireBat got 'em?

CurledKit ducked under the bushes as well, then took off. "Hurry up!" he called to EmeraldKit as he streaked away from the spot.

LeafKit's ear flicked quickly "They left while we were chatting... I don't know which way actually but I expect you should be able to find them easily." LeafKit mewed blinking a couple of times before she got to her paws and walked over to SpottedPath.

She gritted her teeth. The tortoiseshell closed her eyes, and made the Connection. She sent out thoughts, like a radar, to any spirit near them.
The only answer she got was the one of her mother.
Will they be all right? she asked. She had a deep frown. She couldn't hear anything else, so LeafKit could be quite disappointed that she wasn't listening to her anymore.
But there was no answer. She lost Contact just as quickly. What was happening? She re-opened her eyes, startled. She had never been cut off before. She bit her lower lip and took a shakily breath.
If she left to get CurledKit and EmeraldKit, that would leave her own kits out of reach. Holmes was probably long gone, so there'd be no help there. The smartest decision will be to go back to camp, drop of Icy and Leafy there, speak to VioletStar, and get a patrol to find the escaped kits.
"C'mon, quick," she mewed, and half-carried her kits back to camp.
