MothStar stood outside her den for a second thinking, her mind was buzzing, she now had one less life from a cougar attack on a hunting party. She sighed and was just glad to be breathing. She looked around once more and went over to the center of the camp to call together a ceremony. There were many kits that needed to be moved to the apprentices den and the apprentices to the warriors den.
"Will all cats gather around for a ceremony" MothStar's voice echoed around the cold snowy clearing as she sat down and waited for the cats to gather for the ceremonies.

MountainStorm slunk out of her den, wild with excitement, her kits were old enough to be apprenticed! YES happy dances!!!! she glanced at the troupe of kits that followed her and sighed with a grimace, they were so... not serious.
Emptykit sighed, his mother was so.... unloving, I mean seriously, the only reason she wanted them to be in this ceremony is so SHE could be free from them.... isn't that horrible? I'm pretty sure that's horrible....

Jaykit padded out with her many neices and nephews, she looked around with a smile. She was happy she was finally going to be a apprentice, some cats may think that the patrols and hunting just sounded like hard work but she thought they sounded fun. She sat down and licked her tabby fur, she looked almost exactly like her aunt MothStar.

LizardPaw trudged out of the nursery, mind buzzing. He thought he would attend ceremonies with his sister, but she was gone. He sat down alone apart from the group of gathering cats.
LionMane padded in from the territory, carrying two snow rabbits. He dropped them in the pile then went to sit in the deputy place.
CougarPaw curled her lip back, stalking and sitting to where she and her brother SaborPaw usually sit.

Jaykit looked around with her light green eyes, she ran over to Cougarpaw which was a bad idea for the she-cat, "Hi Cougarpaw, are you excited?" The she-cat meowed her eyes shinning as she spoke. She smiled kindly at the older she-cat.

CougarPaw growled and striked the kits head with a sheathed paw, hard enough to cause a head ache but nothing else. "Why should I be?" She snarled.

Jaykit shook her head with the blow, she lifted her head slowly to look at Cougarpaw, she was suprised that the cat was so mean. She had never been treaten meanly by a clan mate before. "No reason I guess" she muttered and looked away.

"Good, because your precious Clan ways are just stupid. Why should you care about being bossed around by some Clan mate and thought as just that little older than kit apprentice pack mule who does all the jobs that the rest of the Clan is too lazy to do." CougarPaw growled, lashing her tail. "Take my advice and stand up for yourself, or just take it like the little kit you are." With that she rolled her eyes and looked away, waiting for the ceremonies to carry on so she could carry on with her life.

Jaykit looked at Cougarpaw her head tilted slightly, she was not sure quite what Cougarpaw was saying but she thought her clan ways were important and you should respect the cats that are older then yourself. She looked away her eyes scanning the clearing for someone more friendly to talk to.

LunarKit bounded out of the nursery and looked at his mother, eyes dancing. He wondered if he would become an apprentice. He'd lost track of how old he was.

SaborPaw walked out of the apprentices' den, looking about as stoic as always. He didn't say a word as he went and sat down next to his sister debating in his mind if he'd rather be outside of camp then listening to the boring ceremonies.
FrostKit came out of the nursery right behind LunarKit, looking more nervous than excited... She was to become an apprentice and wondered who her mentor would be.... She walked up and sat beside LunarKit just because she didn't have anywhere else to really sit by.

Hidden in the camp walls, invisible, and coated in ice and snow to keep from being scented a pair of golden eyes sat, watching her granddaughter and grandson become warriors, this is what they had been training for... and cougar was messing it up, they had taught them how to recognize weakness, strength, and also how to fight and kill undetected.... she was supposed to try and fit in with the clan, earn their trust..... *sigh* She looked at her daughter Wraith who sat by ehr in silence, silver tabby fur almost invisible, and nodded.
Wraith grinned invisibly. Cougar and Sabor had been taught to recognize what Wraith's voice sounded like, it was their call, so after the ceremony Cougar and Sabor would come see them at the territory edge... Wraith opened her mouth and wailed, to an untrained ear it would sound like a lost soul, howling on the wind across the mountain plains, the sound was echoing airy, and eerily high pitched, not something your average cat should make.....

SnapKit silently joined the other cats, her chin high. Finally, she was going to an apprentice. Was that a good or a bad thing? At least there'd be no more squeaking kits dragging her outside to play. But that would mean training. Ugh.

SnowKit bounded happily outside of the nursery and right over to SaborPaw, grinning ear to ear. "This is great! I'm so excited!" she meowed to him.

DeadKit had learned from JayKit's experience with CougarPaw that the older apprentices probably wouldnt treat the new apprentices nicely. He'd have to stand up for himself, like CougarPaw said.
Speaking of CougarPaw, the way she lashed her tail was kinda sexy...
The five-moon old went over to sit by his brother, EmptyKit.
"It's awesome that we're gunna be apprentices early." He mewed, leaving out that the reason why was because their mom wanted to get away from them as soon as possible.

Riverkit followed Snowkit and sat beside her. Silverkit crept towards her brothers whom she was close to. Silverkit tried to live up to her mothers expectations but to no avail. Disseaved Silverkit became quite and easily unnerved, which was unusual. Redkit pranced out of the nursery with his head and tail high in the air.
WolfMoon was excited that her kits were becoming apprintices.

SaborPaw chuckled softly to himself and then whispered to CougarPaw "Sounds like Death has something to say to you eh?" then he heard SnowKit beside him and the small smile vanished. He let out a hiss of annoyance and then when the other kit came and joined SnowKit SaborPaw got up and walked away leaving CougarPaw with the kits... no doubt she'd join him again in a minute.

Jaykit sat down next to Silverkit and Snowkit smiling at her sister and neice friendly. "Are you guys excited?" she asked not as enthusiastic since her pounding from Cougarpaw. She licked a tabby paw her light green eyes sparkiling beautifully in the sunlight.

Mothstar who had been intently watching the cats gather below her smiled, she two had kits that were going to become apprentices today, she waited a second more before looking down at the cats below her with a pleasant expression. “Let the meeting begin” she silenced the chattering cats. “We have many ceremonies that are due today” she meowed and looked at LionMane.
“Will the following cats please come to base of the Jagged Ice peak, Creampaw, Firepaw, Saborpaw, Cougarpaw and Lizardpaw.” She waited as the five cats came over.
“Creampaw you have trained hard and have learned the ways of our warrior ancestors, you will now be known as Creamtail.”
“Firepaw you have trained and shown you have the courage to protect the clan and the wisdom to follow Starclan, you will now be known as Fireblade”
“Saborpaw you have worked hard training, you defiantly have the fighting skills to keep the clan safe, you will now be known as Saborblades”
“Cougarpaw you trained hard in your time of training, your fearlessness will benefit the clan in many ways , you will now be known as Cougarknife”
“And Lizardpaw you have a noble heart that is always willing to help others in the clan, you have withstanded many things that show your strong, you will be known as Lizardflame” Mothstar meowed looking at all of them with happy eyes. She let the clan cheer all of the new warriors.
“Now would Snapkit, Thinkit, Snowkit, Lunarkit, Emptykit, Silverkit, Redkit, Jaykit, Riverkit, Deadkit and Frostkit come to the base of the jagged Ice peak” She read off the long list of kits, she hoped she did not miss anyone. There were so many.
“Snapkit you will now be known as Snappaw and your mentor is Spinetail”
“Thinkit you will now be known as Thinpaw and your mentor is Wolfmoon, you will be training as a Star gazer”
“Snowkit you will now be known as Snowopaw and your mentor is Saborblades”
“Lunarkit you will now be known as Lunarpaw and your mentor is Creamtail”
“Emptykit you will now be known as Emptypaw and your mentor is Brightspirit”
“Silverkit you will now be known as Silverpaw and your mentor is Bonetail”
“Redkit you will now be known as Redpaw and your mentor is Blackenedtuft”
“Jaykit you will now be known as Jaypaw and your mentor is Bonetail”
“Riverkit you will now be known as Riverpaw and your mentor is Cougarknife”

SaborBlades proud look disappeared completely when he was called to apprentice SnowPaw... SnowPaw! of all the apprentices! He got stuck with the nicest, most annoying (to him) apprentice! With a frown of disbelief a low hiss escaped his throat as he turned to look for his probably excited apprentice. SaborBlades looked over to his sister "Errrr... Cougar you want to switch apprentices?" He asked hopefully though he definetely didn't get his hopes up
FrostPaw smiled excitedly and gracefully walked up to stand in front of MothStar.... Her mentor! She got the leader for a mentor! What an honor that was.

Mothstar smiled at the excited apprentice and touched noses with her, she had a good feeling about Frostpaw, "We'll go out tommorow and I'll show you the territory" Mothstar meowed her voice kind and soft as she looked at the apprentice.
Jaypaw looked proudly for Bonetail.

BoneTail padded to JayPaw and touched her nose with his. "I'll show you territory in the morning. Get some good sleep."
CougarKnife, when hearing the call, searched her mind for a good thing to say to Death. When she heard her name called for an apprentice she grimaced and sclowed fiercly. "No way Sabor, most of these kit are annoying, but I'd deal with mine instead of.. SnowPaw." She thought the new apprentice was annoying as well. "I'd very much rather skip out on this apprentice part but if.." She lowered her voice so ONLY Sabor heard. "Death says I must, then I have no choice." She growled under her breath.
