A tiny black apprentice was pacing around impatiently at the the camp's entrance. Her eyes were completely black, no whites, no pupils, nothing but black. It would of been impossible to notice them if it wasn't for the golden tint in them. Yes, Lethe was in a bad moon today, but she was also feeling joy at the same time. Weird, all these emotions... So here she is, just when the gray of dawn faded away to the warm orange of morning, waiting for her mentor. Finally she sat down, her eyes often flickering towards the apprentices' den. Her ears recognized the sound of light paw-steps, and she immediately straightened her back. But she was too skinny and small to look too dangerous, even though her eyes were menacing and defiant.
((Anyone?))

A small warrior who looked like a simple rock could break her emerged form ehr den with a yawn. "Alright Lethe, you ready to train?" she asked in her sweet echoing bell voice. she walked towards Lethe, well more of danced, seeing as her steps were in a perfect rhythm and she moved witha grace beyond walking.

She blinked a couple of times, as if coming out of a daze. FairyDance's way of walking always seemed to Lethe as mystical and somehow hypnotizing, which automatically made her relax. But also made her feel angry. Why did EverStar appointed a weak and frail she-cat as her mentor? She stiffened a growl and nodded slowly, trying to chase away the hostility in her eyes. She should be the mentor here. Lethe knew how to fish. Ah, how she missed the old days when she and her brother taught the other kits to catch fishes...

"Alright.. I'm going to pretend you said yes and move on. So first I want to know what you can do, seeing as you came from somewhere else you might already know how to do somethings, and I really don't want to annoy you by retraining things you already know. so what can you do?" FairyDance settled smoothly into a sitting position, her bright eyes glowing softly with joy as she looked at her apprentice; who, sadly, wasn't too much smaller than FairyDance herself.

That fact about their sizes made Lethe feel smug. "I know how to fish and fight," she mewed, curling her tail around her paws, and at the same time unsheathing her raptor-like claws. As if she wasn't black enough, her claws needed to be that same color. Well, Lethe had totally no idea how to hunt. And she didn't knew that much about fighting. Just a few tricks and strategies. Her ignorance was pretty clear in her eyes, which narrowed in a tight line.

"Good.. so I won't have to teach you to fish.... alright how about we test your battle skills a little bit so I cna see where to start.. and I cna teach you to hunt." FairyDance smiled warmly standing up. "I knowa clearing where it is solid enough ground for basic fighting, later I'll tech you to fight in the marsh it will be great advantage over other clans." she explained swiftly heading towards the camp entrance, dancing as she went twirling round and round as she moved.

"Okay." She got up and followed her mentor, her head low, as if she was stalking. Ugh, fighting in the mud. Gross. "Where do you come from, anyways?" Lethe eventually asked as they passed through the exit, trying not to sound too interested. Curiosity killed the cat, she thought to herself.

"MysticClan." FairyDance said with an echo of sadness entering her voice. It disappeared quickly as she pointed he tail to the leftish "Over there a ways, through natureclan is my old clan." she said then made a sharp right eventually coming to a stand of real trees, around a soft green grassy almsot meadow, just large enough for battle practice.

This was where she and StifledPaw really became friends, after she nearly ruined her face in a battle where she wasn't paying attention. Great. "Huh. You're so tiny I was expecting you came from that tree-lover Clan," she mewed. Lethe started pacing around the battle-practice place, unable to contain her enthusiasm to learn how to fight the clan-way.

FairyDance laughed "No, I do not come from a tree clan, I come form a desertclan.... I do fall down the hole sin teh desert sometimes.. and once in a while get stuck. but..." she laughed. "Alright lets se ehow good you are at attack, attack me." FairyDance grinnned "With your very best." she added

LossDream padded after them into the little battle ground. "Would you mind if I watched?" the queen asked politly.

She smiled with joy as LossDream came into view, sheathing her claws. Her eyes quickly analyzed the small warrior, deep into concentration, yet on high alert at the same time. Suddenly, with surprising speed and agility, she leaped at FairyDance's left shoulder, but just before making contact, leaned to her own left to take a swipe at the other she-cat's legs. Lethe was exposing the back of her neck....

"Go ahead." FAiryDance said then as Lethe launched FairyDance prepped herself, and Lethe came to the point where she would hit FairyDance FairyDance reared onto her hindlegs and as Lethe misse dher shot she came back down witha sheated paw catching the back of Lethe's neck soft enough it wouldn't actually do any damage, but if she had but any kind of force into it it would have hurt, then in her coming down FairyDance rolled to the side landing on all fours next to her opponent.

"Ugh," the tiny apprentice grumbled when her sight blurred for a second. She had completely underestimated FairyDance. "How'd you did that?"

"Practice." FairyDance grinned. "Never understand the tiny." she said wisely. "You need to learn to have good balance first of all. once you learn that dancing is what taught me that. there is a pressure point in the back of the neck that cut's off blood to the brain, you can with different strengths stun, paralyze, confuse or even kill an opponent, but we never aim to kill." FairyDance said softly. "When you don't have greater size or strength that doesn't mean your useless, it can make you more dangerous, your faster, usually more agile, and are harder to catch. You need to learn moves tha tuse your size to your advantage,a nd your skills." she explained

She blinked, getting up. "Woah.... that's... wise, I guess. So you want me to learn how to.... dance?" If it wasn't for the dark fur, FairyDance might of had seen her blush.
((Fairy is so much like Alice in Twilight... xD))

"Yes." FairyDance said "Like me your small and thin, and my guess is that you want to be a good fighter, its wha tyouw ant. I want to help you with that. I want you to try my way and see if it works. For some peopel pure strength doesn't help." FairyDance grinned "We will start with your balance."

Her jaw dropped open, her eyes widening with disbelief. Her mentor was really going to teach her how to dance? Oh no. No, no no, no. No. No way. Had she gone crazy or something? She looked at FairyDance, waiting for the 'Just kidding!' she was hoping to hear. A small voice in her head told her this wasn't a joke. Shut up.

Lethe quickly recovered and swallowed hard. This is going to be painful. "Okay...." She stood up on her back legs, and immediately landed back on all fours. She frowned and tried again, last a few seconds before falling on her side. "Bleh," she spat the mouthful of blood. It tasted horrible... Like mushy clay.

"Here, its a feel.. let me help you." FairyDance came down and walked over "You can put your front paws on me for balance help while you learn.. but its a feel, you can feel when your balanced... now try again." FairyDance helped her apprentice up.

"Yeah, the feeling of falling," she muttered, unhappy and slightly humiliated. She lifted her front paws again, putting one on her mentor's back. She wobbled slightly, but eventually steadied herself. Slowly, she let go. "Hey, I'm balanced! I'm balanc---" Lethe interrupted herself when she fell back into a back break fall, avoiding a dirty head. "Ow. My head's ringing..." from the shock, she finished in her head, feeling to many different emotions to concentrate. Humiliation, joy, anger, disbelief, surprise....

FairyDance smiled "It took me alogn time to get balance. There is a center of gravity feeling, where you feel pulled straight into your balance. You'll get it... so unless your to tired try again." fAiryDance was going to be strict as a drill master.

LossDream remembered when Light Feather tought her how to balance. An idea popped into her head. "FariyDance, I know a better way to help get balance. My mother and mentor tought me when I could keep my balance for walking. I think it will work better than teaching her how to dance."

She frowned. Now that she really considered, dancing seems fun.... But wouldn't LossDream's idea be easier? She shrugged and stood up again, finding this point of gravity thingy, and struggled to the middle. She had it. Lethe really did. She smiled as she thought that she must look like a black meerkat. "Now what?" the standing-on-hind-legs she-cat asked, the smile in her voice.
