She licked his ears. "Everyone does mistakes now and then. No one is perfect. Now promise me something: take care. Hold your promise or I'll visit you to the rogues to claw your ears off."
She looked back at SpottedKit and ShadedKit. "Another promise: visit them when they're old enough to go out alone. Okay?"

Comet nodded. He could keep those promises.... so he thought. "I promise" He meowed sincerely looking back at his kits. "Though just so you know I'll be looking forward to when you come to claw my ears off" He meowed with a smile trying to lighten the mood a bit.
"You're running out of time to decide" Shadedkit whispered to Spottedkit.

Candleflame appeared in the shadows. Her gaze was expressionless. "Comet, Moth." She meowed, then looked at the two young kits. "Ah. Shadedkit." She bent down to lick the kit's head. She knew that the kit would never be the same. Poor dear.
She turned her head to Spottedkit, What would you choose? She thought. Do you have enough balance in you to choose? She thought to herself.
Finally she looked over at Comet, her own brother, her own flesh... The next Vampirebat assassin. She didn't cringe, she only felt a brief pain. She knew that SilverWing would be crying, she knew Goldenleaf would feel betrayal, and she herself felt pain. Severe pain. Even though she felt all these emotions, her face was stone.

"Hi Candle....... Well, since there's two of you now, I'm just gonna go this way so you two can take the kits back. " He meowed reluctantly getting to his paws and beginning to pad the opposite from NatureClan
Shadedkit watched her blue eyes emotionless. "For now I'll stay with you Spotty, but I'll keep trying to convince you.... Grandma Pepper says so" She murmmered to herself. NO ONE could have possibly heard that muttered comment.

SpottedKit nodded and forced an unsure smile at her sister.
"Bye, Daddy! Say to Grandpa I say 'hi'," she squeaked sarcastically the last part, though the first part brought tears to her amber eyes.
She then sighed. "We are officially orphans now. Great."
MothPelt smiled at him, not knowing what he would become, but a voice inside of her kept telling her the same thing over and over: VampireBat will conquer his soul...

Candleflame watched her brother go, it will be the last and final time she would see him with a good heart. She turned and picked up Spottedkit, then flicked her tail for her sister to grab the other. She began to walk back to camp, her tail drooped in the sand.

(Just so you know he is going to become good again he's never gonna be quite the same, but still good..... long time from now after he kills a few of my unwanted kitties ^^)
"I can walk!" Shadedkit protested already starting to walk after CandleFlame. She looked back over her shoulder for the last time just as Comet's white pelt disappeared into the growing darkness

Candleflame slowed her pace to matched the young kit's. Spottedkit still dangled from her strong jaws.

((There would be a group of cats that would. Most of Silk's next kits will. I already have some names in mind... Kai, Kazmir, Hinx, Hyde & Cyrus; toms. Aimee, Aria & Zena; she-kits. I'll take Cyrus and Aimee.))
MothPelt rolled her eyes and picked up ShadedKit. "You're too slow, little monster," she grumbled playfully through the bunch of fur. She quickened her pace to a run, glancing with the same playfulness at her sister.
SpottedKit wasn't bleeding as much as before, and she was even shrieking to CandleFlame that her aunt and sister will run the race to camp if she doesn't run.

Candleflame tightened her grip, only by a smidge, then bolted. Unlike Mothpelt, Candleflame wasn't carring kits that would slow her down. Her long, muscular legs pulled ahead of her sister, by only about a fox length.

Candleflame pushed herself harder, and began to break away. She was now a couple fox lengths away, she then dived into camp. She had won. She set Spottedkit down, "How's that for running?" She meowed playfully, her eyes shinning triumphantly.

SpottedKit was laughing cheerfully when she saw the look on MothPelt's face when the warrior came in camp a minute after CandleFlame had.
"We would of won if you hadn't squirmed so much," MothPelt muttered after she gently put ShadedKit down. "Now I think we should go back to serious. Where's TarpenLeaf?"
SpottedKit winced as the name of the medicine cat reminded her of her wounds, and she looked down at the deep gashes pretty much everywhere, some starting to bleed again. "I don't like Grandpa."

SpottedKit narrowed her eyes at ShadedKit. "If it wasn't for TarpenLeaf, we would of been to the rogues right now, being beaten up by Grandpa, probably bleeding to death!" she meowed, trying to keep her voice calmed, though she would of loved to hiss at this very moment.
"Keep your arguments for later, guys."
MothPelt picked ShadedKit up again and padded in the Medicine Cat's Den before she could say anything.
