BlackAbyss quickly entered the apprentice den "SharpPaw!"s he hised for her appretnice then in the black, no moon, no stars night she heade dout of camp and waited just outside for her apprentice

SharpPaw bolted awake and after a quick glance around the apprentices' den he quietly padded out of the dark den into the dark night. He glanced around again for his mentor and followed her out of the camp.

"Now, tonight you will learn the territory while it is completely black,a nd you will train to fight, it will stay this black for an entire thirty six hours..... in that time, you will live exactly like a lone cat, I am not going to help you much, I will ensure you don't die and teach you some fighting moves... but other than that, you will mostly be on your own.. the only light is the snow, remember that, and don't get too lost, stay close to me." she instructed sharply

"ummmm... Alright. I can do that" He meowed staying close to his mentor like she had instructed. He was determined to do this right and make his mentor proud of him.

"First of all, you will lead me to the jagged peak...." she stepped aside "Not by way of the icefield... I will teach you how to cross the Icefield later." she said softly dipping her head so he could lead...... lets see how well he does getting there...

She dropped tot he ground and rolled to the side his well aimed leap landed next to her then "now, see how I did that? since you were coming at me from the front, and above I dropped and rolled, if you were coming from the front and a low leap aimed for my paws I would have jumped and rolled... if you had come from the side I would have rolled forward, and if you were coming from behind I would have rolled to the side. kapeesh?" she asked her apprentice

SharpPaw dropped and rolled out of range and as BlackAbyss landed where he would of been he swiped a sheathed paw at her.

SharpPaw rolled back a few taillenghts before making a sharp turn and running full speed at BlackAbyss's side. Right before he hit her he turned again and held his paw out so that it ,if his claws had been unsheathed, would have made a deep scar all along her side.

BlackAbyss rolled towards him missing where his claws would have been and taking his feet out from under him

SharpPaw flipped and landed on his back, but quickly rolled to the side so that he was back on his paws. Then he leaped and landed squarely on his mentor's shoulders

BlackAbyss rolled her apprentice into one of the rocky boulders sticking up and pulled back freeing herself "Your getting better." she hissed

SharpPaw tilted a bit so that his paws were against the rock. When BlackAbyss pulled back he pushed off the rock and went flying into her side.

BlackAbyss rolled adding power to his fly so he flew into another rock "I didn't lsoe my tail for nothing."s he said looking at her stub of a tail

"Have you not noticed how much shorter my tail is than anyone else's?" she asked looking at him intently she turned to show him the half of a stub of a tail she had. Her tail was maybe half the length of his.......she turned back towards him and launched in an arched dive coming down almost straight on top of him

SharpPaw looked at his tail for a moment before she jumped at him. "Haven't really noticed" He confirmed as he rolled to the side and pushed off a rock landing on BlackAbyss's back and biting her on the back of her neck, not hard enough to draw blood, but enough to get the point across

"Alright, your doing well enough to move on now."s he grinned "Nope lost half my tail in a fight with my mentor." she said softly remembering it "He went back to the clan battered, and missing a couple toes...." she shook her short tail, having to shake her hindquarters to do so
