A little white she-cat rushed along beside a tabby and white queen, both of them trying to outrun the cats following her. They were Rogues, and that was all she knew.
SnowBlossom and MistyFlower were trying to reach camp before the rogues reached them. What in the world were Rogues doing on CelestialClan territory anyways?!
SnowBlossom felt her own breath becoming shallower and shallower she glanced side-ways and saw that MistyFlower looked about to stop and give up. MistyFlower was pregnant with kits, and she and SnowBlossom had just been getting out of camp for fresh air because MistyFlower would soon be suck in camp, unable to.
She risked a glance backwards and saw that the Rogues were only a single fox-length away: three of them, big flea-bitten creatures that smelled of twoleg alleys and carrion.
SnowBlossom yelped as one snapped at her heels. She looked up just in time to see that she and MistyFlower were going to run head-first into the foot of the ice plateau her clan lived on top of. She skidded to a halt, the three cats crashing into her and MistyFlower. She unsheathed her flimsy white claws and slashed at the thing nearest to her. It slashed back. She squirmed out of the pile of snow and other cats and yowled a challenge, knowing this would likely be her death. She scented the air; no other cats appeared to be around near enough to help her and MistyFlower.
Then suddenly her cousin Mayhem was there. He had probably been out, hunting alone. He tackled one of the rogues and flashed his claws down it's sides. It took off running, shocked. The other two rogues advanced on the cream and gray tom.
SnowBlossom knew how useless she was at fighting. She tried to stay away from battles and she had learned virtually nothing in her apprentice battle training. On a whim, she leaped at one of the two Rogues and decided it would be better to die trying to help Mayhem than to die after they killed him.
"What are you doing?!" Mayhem's outraged voice reached her ears,
"We'll all die if you stay here! Run, you idiot!" It took SnowBlossom a moment to figure out that he was yelling at MistyFlower, who had been about to try to fight too.
The pregnant queen scrambled up the slope on Mayhem's orders, glancing backwards with flattened ears.
"I hope she has the sense to get us help," Mayhem commented.
SnowBlossom wondered at his words, then noticed that the third Rogue who had run away before was coming back, two more battle-ready Rogues at his sides.
The white she-cat cringed; how were they supposed to survive when it was two against five and MistyFlower was too tired to run the whole way to get help? But she knew they could leave because then the Rogues would keep running up the slope to catch and kill MistyFlower and her unborn kits.
She searched out Mayhem's brilliant blue eyes and saw her same dismay reflected in his eyes. They were going to die, and he knew it too.
"You can run," He whispered, too quietly for the advancing Rogues to hear,
"It's a waste of life for us both to die here."
SnowBlossom nodded, about to run, then froze.
"I cant just leave you here. That would be... unfair."
"Unfair?" His voice rose an octave in disbelief,
"Just run."
"I'd rather go to StarClan early, proud of what I've done, than go to them an old she-cat, half crazy with guilt."
"Whatever. Have it your way, then." Mayhem muttered, unsheathing his claws, as the Rogues closed in.

EbonyChains was leading a patrol of four cats(anyone can role play the other three) when he stumbled across MistyFlower's scent and the scent of kits.
"MistyFlower?" He asked, stepping into the warm cave where her scent was strongest. There were five kittens beside her.
"Where is SnowBlossom? Did you ask her to go get help when you began kitting?" He asked in bewilderment. MistyFlower never left camp these days without SnowBlossom. He put together in his mind that she must have started kitting outside of camp, but that didnt solve the question of where SnowBlossom was.
"Did you two split up?" He asked when she didnt answer. Then he noticed the pallor under her fur.
"Are you... okay? Mom?"
"She and Mayhem are at the bottom of the plateau with the Rogues." MistyFlower finally answered.
EbonyChains paused for a moment, confused.
"Will you be okay here alone?"
"I managed it for the other three hours, didnt I?" MistyFlower snapped.
EbonyChains quickly backed out of the little cave.
"MistyFlower thinks there are Rogues at the bottom of the plateau," He explained to the patrol,
"Let's go check it out." The patrol bounded down the slope to see the bloodied bodies of two nearly unrecognizable cats.
EbonyChains slowly padded forward to recognize SnowBlossom and Mayhem; both were dead. He felt disbelief drag at his fur. Both these cats were good friends of his. They were his cousins, children of his uncle, AzureSky. He felt shock crash over him,
"We need to get their bodies back to camp for vigil." He meowed through clenched teeth.
"The Rogues will pay for this."
((Just informing u all of the deaths of Mayhem and SnowBlossom.))
