"Nice night out, isn't it?" Wilykit meowed to MistedKit, his eyes traveling the skies. The setting sun cast shades of plurple and pink across the clouds, making a beautiful painting above for all to see.

"As long it doesn't rain," MistedKit replied, looking up to make sure they weren't rain clouds. "And as long we don't run through DreamFall," she added after a pause.

WilyKit looked back down and chuckled. "I'm sure she's out tormenting some other kit or kicking a baby duckling somewhere." The night was nice and warm, pleasantly lacking the humidity that would've made it uncomfortable. "So how're the siblings of yours?"

She giggled a bit at the comment about DreamFall. "Wonderful. It's fun having a sister who understands me almost perfectly and a bodyguard brother," she squeaked, her blue eyes bright. "What about yours?"

WilyKit sighed. "Fine, I suppose. When we traveled, nothing was ever easy. MudKit was always afraid, RiddleKit was always spaced out, and I was injuried most of the time. But ti makes me wonder...what would life've been if SnowAngle and your dad never came across us?" He paused for a minute. "I suppose we would have kept traveling, eventually being found by another Clan...'

"... Or eaten by a badger. Or a fox," MistedKit meowed, tilting her head at the thought. "Or a rogue. I'm not sure if it's true, some elders say they eat kits."

WilyKit nearly stumbled. He regained and looked staight ahead. "You know I was born a Cavern Rogue." he whispered to MistedKit, but still held a good-natured tone and voice.

Her eyes widened. "Really?" she asked, surprise in her voice. She quickly realized it was not THAT surprising, and did her best to erase the surprise in her eyes to a more curious expression. "Then it must be the Alley Rogues, then," MistedKit jumped to the conclusion.

WilyKit grinned. "I dunno. Could've been the caverns. We weren't even there a moon, before we left. We never knew our parents. Better off without them, I'd say."

She looked at him with disbelief. "Aren't you even a little curious about who they are?" MistedKit asked, surprised how he could not be. She knew that she'd die from curiosity if she didn't knew her own parents.

WilyKit glanced at MistedKit with a soft smile. "If they didn't care enough to stick around while I was growing up, then I don't want anything to do with the. It would just make it worse. Besides, Riddle says their dead."

She quickly lost interest in WilyKit's parents and raised an eyebrow. "Is RiddleKit always right? You talk as if he is," MistedKit noticed, smiling slightly.

"How would I know? Something weird happened to him down in those caverns." WilyKit meowed.

"Huh," MistedKit mewed with a giggle. She then seemed thoughtful. "Why did you three even left? I would've stayed at the rogues, grown stronger than most cats in the clans. No StarClan or warrior code to boss me around if I was one of them."

"I don't remember much from then, but on my way up here, we came across some rogues. They weren't friendly. In fact, they would've killed us if they didn't have something better to do." Wilykit meowed. "I would've been fine growing up with them, but do you think Riddle and Mud would've?"

She thought of that and giggled. "Not at all!"

"Exactly." WilyKit chuckled. "Even from a yound age I knew that. So we left. Not a big deal. Happens all the time." He let out a content sigh. "Maybe one day I'll go back, you know, just to see what I left behind."

Her walk slightly stiffened. "What do you mean by that? Just peeking, and coming back after? Or forever?" Her voice was controlled just a little too well, and her eyes slightly too icy to make her calm expression seem real.

WilyKit raised his brow. "Probably just to look around, then come back. MistedKit, this is my home now." He meowed gently in soft, subtle reassurance.

MistedKit nodded, obviously relieved as she looked at the clouds, the sun setting, and she tried not to yawn. "Don't you ever wish you did had parents? Good ones, I mean, who'd be here with you and RiddleKit and MudKit in the Nursery instead of the stinky medicine cat's den."

WilyKit shrugged. "When I was little, I did. Not anymore. Not havong parents was one of the things that made me who I am today." He glanced at MistedKit playfully. "Why? Do you think I need a change?"

She snickered in amusement. "Wouldn't that be good?" MistedKit mewed sarcastically, grinning. "But I'm sure even with parents to raise you, you wouldn't of been so different as you are now."

"Perhaps your right." WilyKit chuckled. He looked up. They had been walking around and talking for a long time now. It was night and the stars and moon were high in the sky. "I better walk you back to the nursery before your father tears me to bits." He commented, veering toward the nursery. "That NorthFrost can be as cold as his name, no offense. I remember he wasn't so thrilled bringing me and my brothers back here."

MistedKit laughed. "That's just what he wants us to believe," she said as she turned around to follow him, fighting to keep her sleepy eyes open. "But I don't blame him. Like you, he's an ex-rogue. He's one of the cats who told me rogues ate naughty kits... I wonder why... I think he was a Cavern rogue, too," the white kit mewed.

A small spark of interest lit WilyKit's eyes. "Was he now? That'll be something to keep in mind." At last they had come to the entrance of the nursery. WilyKit wore a small grin as he bowed. "I had a good time, sweetheart. Another time?"
