In an extremely monotinous pace, MudDog stacked herbs. And stacked. And stacked. What would appear boring to any other cat, was delightful to this apprentice. Yes he had his name. But DestinyWinds was still around, so he was a medicine cat apprentice. He carefully stacked thyme on top of each other in a small pile, gathered them in his jaws gently and set them in their correct place. Same old, same old.
MudDog shook his brown pelt in a shiver, then stopped and looked up. Someone was comng. (Anyone)

SandPaw's tail came in first as she strggled slightly to pull a large rabbit into the den for the medicine cats. She finally tore the rabbit free of the small shruby plants outside the den, and brought it toward MudDog. The rabbit was nearly as big as she was, enough for both the medicine cats surely. She set it down and then asked "Where's DestinyWinds? ShadowedStorm told me to make sure she ate something" She stated quickly from where she made herself comfortably, curling her tail around her paws.

DestinyWinds came out of the den. "What the crazy tom thinks I don't eat enough?" she chuckled sitting down by MudDog with a smile, licking her 'son' over the ears gently. "Why I'm practically fat! If he doesn't stop feeding me so constantly I'll be useless." she chuckled.

SandPaw shrugged quickly "Sure we'll go with that" she decided not even thinking of the answer besides... its always best to agree, usually anyways.

Tawnysky walked into the medicine cats den. "Hello. Shadowedstorm wants me to stay in camp today. No patrols, nothing. Weird, huh? Anyway, just wanted to see what you guys where doing." Tawnysky loved the medicine cats den. The smell of the herbs, the funny cats, and most of all, the sight of MudDog stacking, and stacking, and stacking the herbs.

MudDog smiled at SandPaw. "ShadowedStorm worries too much. We're fine." he meowed, and nodded to TawnySky. He gave the pile of herbs a last nudge into their place, before settling beside his 'mom'. He sighed slightly. It was days like these where he really missed his brother, WilyWolf's, antics. They would keep him entertained with whatever fight he had gotten into with someone.

"OI have the right to worry." Came a voice form the entrance. "With NightStar being sick and all." Mewed ShadowedStorm. His black pelt now appeared at the entrance. He had a good natured smile on his face. And it was right... being temporary leader and all, he only wanted to make sure the Clan was safe. "How is NightStar?" He meowed, padding closer to DestinyWinds and MudDog.

"Unchanged, for the most part." MudDog sighed. This was bad. Well, it's never a good thing when your leader is ill. And StarClan had been silent to him...but then again, MudDog wasn't even quite sure if they had ever spoken to him. He turned his brown eyes to DestinyWinds.

DestinyWinds blinked, she could not tlel them that Starclan had showed her Nightstar's loss of a life. "He is slowly recovering, I think he will be better soon, though i can't promise it." She said her bright green eyes were gentle and warm.

MudDog sighed. Again. His leader seemd to be taking his sweet time healing, as there was a Clan that needed to be lead, waiting out here... The brown tom stood and stretched, extending his body to it's maximum length, then recoiling. "Oh, DestinyWinds!" He sarted suddenly. "I almost forgot to tell you that we need some more poppy seeds. Surprised that we're almost out. Usually well stalked on those.."

A silver tabby she-cat padded into the medicine den. "I overheard you speaking, and I could fetch some poppyseeds. I'm going out anyway." Spiritsong meowed. "But first, could you get this thorn out of my pad? I tried to get it out myself, and I only succeded in wedging it in deeper." She winced when she was done talking, as she had placed the sore paw on the ground. "Are there any other herbs you need? I can identify most of them." Spiritsong sat down and held up the paw with the thorn in it. It was nasty, covered in pus and dried blood.

ShadowedStorm nodded to SpiritSong, looking at her paw. "Hopefully it isn't too bad... with NightStar AND SunClaw sick we need all the warriors possible." The black tom sighed and looked at the nest where his leader lay, then back to DestinyWinds and MudDog. "Well... I guess that's the best we're going to get until he gets better..." HE sighed at DestinyWind's comment.

SandPaw was listening to the conversation quietly and was hoping that ShadowedStorm wouldn't make her go herb supply fetching... She ewasn't really in the mood for that right now. SandPaw decided that if she was quiet enough they'd forget about her until it was too late to go anywhere.

MudDog sniffed SpiritSong's paw over once, before firmly gripping the thorn in his teeth and pulling it straight out. "You'll be fine." He meowed between a few brisk licks of SpiritSong's pad, then applying a salve of chewed herbs and rubbing them in gently. He looked back up at the warrior and smiled. "DestinyWinds, is it ok if I go with SpiritSong for the poppy seeds? I think we need a few other herbs as well."

"Ahh. That feels much better. Thanks." Spiritsong smiled. She stood up and placed her paw gingerly on the ground. She winced, but then sighed. She waved her plumy tail in pleasure and padded out of the medicine den. "Come on, Muddog, let's go." she meowed.

ShadowedStorm nodded and then looked at the cats before MudDog left. "Oh and everyone," He spoke to all the cats in the den. "If you find someone who needs a ceremony, tell me. I don't wish to get behind, or leave anyone behind." ShadowedStorm then waved his tail to MudDog and SpiritSong before they left, then turned to SandPaw.
(I took SandPaw as an apprentice... right?)

"Hmm... SandPaw, let's go train." ShadowedStorm meowed to his apprentice, flicking his ears. He had wanted to train her, with the Shadowed Doom coming up so quickly, she needed to be prepared, whichever side they took

(You need to, it would be cool if you sided with Shadowed... since Mystic has a tendency to get possessed by Abyss clan XD or side with the good, and go traitor! tee hee)
