A secret midnight birth.

DestinyWinds was tucked in the back of the empty Medicine cat den. It was there she bit her lip and bore kit-birth in absolute silence. When it was all over she cleaned the three beautiful kits and had only about an hour to figure out how to pull this off.... The first little calico she nosed and sighed "Celestialkit, StarsKit, and HawkKit." she nosed the little tom gently, he looked most like his father, the other two were her fur and eye color.... StarsKit had her fluffy pelt, the closest to her.... CelestialKit had thin fur and a narrow build.

MudDog lay silently in his nest, his eyes open as he watched his most beloved mentor have her entire life ruined by bearing these kits. He didn't speak, didn't move, just watched with sad eyes.

Destinywinds sighed eating the proper herbs to ensure she would be okay from the birth. "MudDog?" she asked softly. "Do you remember where I found you when you were kits?" she asked softly knowing her 'son' was awake in the darkness.

"Yes." MudDog's voice answered through the pitch black night. "At the Oasis. NorthFrost was there too. And someone else. WilyWolf had a thorn in his paw..."

"Good... at Dawn, go out to collect morning lily petals at the oasis, find the kits, EXACTLY at dawn, and bring them back.... I'm going to go collect Moonflowers..." she picked up all the kits very gently, and murmured through their soft fur. "Please MudDog, i love you." she said in a muffled voice and disappeared out the back of the den. She would be with her kits until shortly before dawn... then vanish back at camp with MoonFlowers.... and pretend to sleep while MudDog brought back the kits...
