MothStar looked across the frozen wilderness before her with narrowed eyes as a strong gust of wind blew by her and the warriors that stood behind her. Her eyes strayed across it once more looking for prey such as rabbit that would blend in quite well with the white snow. Somthing was brought to her attention, it was a mysterious shape far across the snow covered plain. It looked big to big to be a coyote and did not have the outline of a wolf but instead looked more cat-like with a long tail and a tawny pelt. Mothstar figited nervously as she watched it turn it's massive head to look towards them. She knew it was a cougar she had heard of them from stories that the elders told.

Beside her, SpineTail froze and narrowed her eyes. "Uh oh." He whispered under his breath, exchanging a glance with his leader. The mountain cat had saw them!

Mothstar looked at Spinetail trying to keep her face calm, she turned to him and the other warriors behind them, "Let's get back to camp and make sure it's safe just in-" Mothstar was cut off my a snarl as the cougar started to run towards them with horrifiying speed before Mothstar could run away or dodge the sharp claws that dug into her side the cougar was upoon them. Mothstar stumbled with the blow of the huge cats paw that was nearly her size. She felt dizzy as she watched the cougar stand there tail lashing with a snarl on it's face, it pounced at Spinetail but came short. The cougar snarled once more and ran off. Mothstar could feel blood running down her legs and her side and felt even more dizzy as she fell to the ground.

Before the cougar was out of reach though, SpineTail slashed his hind leg drawing blood. He looked at MothStar, horrifyed. "MothStar? Are you okay?" He asked, though he knew not. He felt panick in his limbs as he watched his leader, wide eyed. "Can you walk?"

"I'll be fine" Mothstar meowed drifting in and out of consiousness, "No, I don't think I can,' she closed her green eyes laying her head on the cold snow that was red with blood, her tabby fur was also bleached red with blood. "Go all of you back to the camp, get LionMane let him know what happened, secure the camp.." Mothstar meowed before she blacked out.

SpineTail stood frozen to the spot before making himself move, fast. He raced towards camp and barreled into the entrance after what seemed like a century. "MothStars hurt and losing a life!" He yowled, searching for LionMane or AquaMarine. "There might be a cougar somewhere in the territory.
LionMane leapt to his feet. "Okay, two warriors guard camp, two warriors search the nursery, apprentices need to search every single den and make sure no cats have disappeared!" He yowled, wishing to race to his sisters side but knowing he'd risk much too much lives, the lives of his Clanmates, if he left them unguarded. He wasn't about to send a patrol out either, incase they were attacked. He'd tend to that later.

Mothstar soon saw a familiar face in all her pain it was Songstar the former leader, Songstar looked very starry and glowed brilliantly. "I'm losing a life" Mothstar stuttered as another figure appeared it was Hurricanepaw her own neice who had died from a assassin. "Yes Mothstar you have lost a life" the young she-cat stated looking at Mothstar saddly.

MountainStorm was on her feet instantaneously, moving with speed, she wa sin the Apprentice den, all the apprentices were kicked awake. "Search the dens, make sure no-one is missing! DO IT!" she repeated LionMane's orders with a ferocious snap in her voice. She went into the nursery and counted queens then stepped around the edges smelling, then checked kits, making sure each queen had the right amount of kits.
EmptyPaw got up from the kick and started moving about checking the apprentice den for everyone.... DaggerPaw wasn't there.. he was on patrol with MothStar.... then he headed for the warrior den.
DaggerPaw looked at MothStar's seemingly lifeless body and poked it with his nose "MothStar?" he asked with a questioning tone.
