"That explains alot" Xena teased. She should have known that he wouldn't say anything more... toms... they were wierd, didn't say anything if they thought it made them sound weak... She looked down at her paws almost somewhat disappointed but also trying to think of Shade's cousin's name.... that might help her piece together what these 'family problems' were.

Defaince nodded slowly trying to collect his thoughts, "Yes, well my mom died. She was killed by Shade, her motive for killing him might have been because she disliked Narrowriver, my father. So I guess I feel like I betray my sister and aunt when I'm with him.. it's stupid I know" Defiance meowed his voice even but showed more emotion then usual, he looked away in sadness. His golden eyes once again avoided hers.

NarrowRiver! That was it! Was Xena's first thought. Yep everything fit together nicely and then Defiance had just filled in any holes that had been missing. "Oh, and what do you think? Like do you think that it was his fault or do you think it was an unfortunate coincidence?" Asked Xena her eyes were sympathetic but she didn't really sound sympathetic... voice-wise anyways. She remembered that night when Shade killed SugarStorm clearly... Hey at least the death was quick... Shade didn't draw it out or anything. SugarStorm probably didn't even know what hit her... one clean cut that's the best death you can get by the hands of an assassin.

"Maybe it was a coincidence, it could be either. who knows." Defiance meowed lifeless again, he shuffled his paws on the floor of the ally. He hoped it was not the reason, he hoped it was some unfortunate coincidence. HE gulped then looked at Xena with dull eyes.

"So I'm gonna guess that your Aunt and sister think that it was this NarrowRiver's fault eh? And I'm also assuming that you're closer to them then your father otherwise you would ignore them correct?" She asked about as much as stated. Xena blinked a couple of times thinking about this information carefully... She couldn't help but wonder curiously how Shade was going to react when back in NatureClan and then add her cousin in on it... oooo too bad she was missing it.... All well, Bandit would tell er everything that transpired.

'Yeah, I guess, I might not be that close to my aunt but more so to my sister" Defiance meowed with a snort, "You would not belive how different we are from each other, it's amazing we get along" he meowed, him and his sister were very different. Different personalites for sure and they looked a good bit different too.

Xena laughed "I could believe it actually... Shade and Bandit are both on complete opposite sides of the board. It's rather funny to listen to one of their conversations" She giggled. Her personally was right int the middle of them. Not near as I'm gonna kill you pessimist as Shade but not Bandit's optomistic.. whatever you call it attitude. "Maybe not quite as extreme as yours... I don't really even know your sister's personality... I saw her once... definetley looks more like her mother than you. I assume you look like NarrowRiver"

"Hmm maybe I can help you out with that. Well she's bubbly, always hyper and energetic with this happy go lucky, world peace attitude." Definace gave a short description of his sister and raised and eyebrow waiting for Xena to reply. He wondered what her expression was. "Yeah I look like Narrow" he added on.

Xena nodded smiling slightly "That would be about as opposite as you can get from your personality" She agreed giggling to herself at the thought... Yeah she really had a hard time trying to picture how their conversations went... funny

"Yeah, we'll you said you were in a hurry, you better go meet Shade." Defiance meowed as he turned and started to walk away slowly into the shadows of the ally. The only sound was the small jingle of his necklace as he walked.

Xena muttered an agreement and startedt o walk toward NatureClan territory before turning back with a curious expression "Hey Defiance... have you ever actually spoke with your father before?"

"Of course" Defiance meowed his voice sounding farther away now, he stopped for a second wondering if she would reply, he could barely see her eyes glowing in the darkness of the ally way that swollowed everything. He turned.

Xena mulled that over for a moment and then nodded though Defiance most likely couldn't see her. Her chocolate brown eyes blinked a couple of times and then she turned heading towards NatureClan once again, silent and alone.

Defiance watched her go with a feeling of emptiness like usual, it just seemed absent for a little. He sighed heavily and turned in the opposite dirrection in the darkness of the night with clinking of his necklace as he trotted off into the night.
