A jet black tom, with a white-speckled pelt, sat in the middle of the In-Between, his tail flipping back and forth. It was just after dawn, early morning. ShadowSpecter had told his children to meet him here. He had to tell them something important before he...left. He snapped from his thoughts as his son, Holmes, padded forth. Holmes sat silently before his father and waited for his siblings to show.

A black she cat followed her brother, eyes narrowed as if she needed to be somewhere. "Hello, father." Nightmare meowed. "What is it?" She asked, sitting beside Holmes. She curled her lip when a ginger she cat padded in.
Thunder nervously trotted in, bristling when Nightmare glared at her. The family hated her, well mostly, and she hated the family. She was another of Shadow's children, but least unknown since she had gone to join with the enemy's family, well stolen but she liked it there with her best friends, and became part of their spy group, so she was the least favored daughter, or kit period, of the family. She sat slightly away from them, watching her father without a word.

Rao, a white albino she-cat of around 30 moons followed Nightmare from a respectable distance. Nightmare was going to take her to meet Vixen after this so that she could officially join the little group.
"Well, hello there, you." She meowed in greeting to ShadowSpector, voice becoming disturbingly knowing. He would never in a million years recognise her. But she still looked enough like family for him to be able to guess that she was a close relative of his. Perhaps one of Malice or EverStar's missing kits or maybe even one of the children of Eve, who she looked a bit like. She took a seat beside the three, away from the others like Thunder was.

Ramirez came in right after his best friend Thunder. He wasn't related at all but Thunder was his best friend... his only friend for that matter so he wasn't going to let her go off in 'enemy' territory alone... They had a truce with the Vixen family but still.... His silver eyes took in the family scene and he sat down out of the way. It wasn't that he didn't trust Thunder to be able to take care of herself it was just... well, partly he was just nosy but partly it was just a precaution. His black pelt blended in with the shadows around him and he obviously had no plan to move anytime soon.

ShadowSpecter turned to Rao and Ramirez, unsurprised. "I should've guessed that a father couldn't speak to his chilren alone. Not when they come from the family they do, anyway." he commented. His voice was dry, which was very much unlike ShadowSpecter.

Dare trotted in and sat inbetween his sisters Thunder and Nightmare. Flicking his tail towards the newcomers that came with his sibling.

(Uhh WolfMoon Thunder didn't sit anywhere near Nightmare or any of the family, she sat very far apart from there)
Thunder cringed from Dare, raising an unsheathed paw as if to strike him a blow before letting it fall back to the ground, taking a few steps back to join Ramirez and narrowed her eyes, looking up at her father. "And I'm proud to say I disowned this family, don't group me with them." She added, curling her tail around her paws.
Nightmare gave her sister Thunder a 'whatever' type of look and nodded to Rao, taking a seat beside her and Dare.

Rao hid an amused smile. He wasnt the easy-going lost kit she'd met so long ago.

"Thunder...when have I ever done you wrong?" ShadowSpecter spoke in a now pleading tone. He did not want his daughter to cast him off so easily, when the fault lay with her mother and not him.

Rao turned to look at the young she-cat Shadow was speaking with. So now this family was having issues too? Why couldnt everyone just follow the strongest cat and be done with it? It was what Rao had always done and it worked.
If the strongest cat went evil, they all turn on her or him and kill her or him. Then the next strongest cat becomes leader...

Thunder rolled her eyes, glancing away to think up a comment. "Did I ever say I disowned you?" She asked, looking back to Shadow, as if she already expected what was going on.
Nightmare rolled her eyes, muttering something under her breath. She was actually the next to take Vixen's place, so she had to be everywhere at once. And now, she had to be with... a family meeting? Huh, now she wondered what this would be.

Ramirez gave a small smile as Thunder stepped back to join him but it disappeared quickly as he surveyed her family. He had been right at least, her family didn't really like her, of course he wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. He turned his silver eyes to ShadowSpecter, somewhat surprised that he'd gotten together with Vixen. To Ramirez he didn't seem like the kind of cat to endu p wit h her.. but then again that might be why they were here hmmmm....
"Hey, Shadow dude, can you get on with this, Thunder and I have buisness to attend to and I'm sure, NightMare chick over there does too so if you could just start and finish that would be great" The young tom called coldly getting impatient

ShadowSpecter turned promptly to Rameriz, his expression hardened. "If you please, Ramirez, is it? This a a family matter. We would be much oblidiged if you would lave us to our business. It will be finished soon enough." Then he turned back to his daughter. "You said your family. I am your father, part of your family. Now..I asked you all here becuase I fear of your mother's intentios. She lied to me of who she was. Nothing good can end of this. I..I am leaving her. I'm going back to my studies."

Shadow and Vixen were seperating? Well this changed things for Rao. She didnt want to be on a team that totally lacked family of her's.
Her red eyes narrowed ever so slightly. So now she'd have to find ANOTHER group to lend her talents to...

(Oh ouch, jeez Willow thanks LOL... I have a rogue group I've been trying to start though but i don't think she's related to Bullet so...)
Nightmare narrowed her eyes and growled. "She never lied! She told you she was an assassin from the start. I knew all along you couldn't handle this. Always knew you'd be afraid. Didn't it ever come to mind that maybe she's doing this for our safety? That Entreri dude has been out to kill her, and he could have killed us too, so maybe she had no choice but to allign with him, or all our necks would slit!" She growled, but didn't feel satisfied, as if she had more and more arguments to come.
Thunder raised an eyebrow, ignoring Nightmare and looking at Shadow. "See? Now you're not part of them or their lives, so technically you are no longer their family, or mine so now I don't have to disown you." She growled, though she knew that could have struck a nerve by saying 'You're not part of your kits lives'

Ramirez laughed loudly at it all, one of his weird scary laughs... "Nice accusation there NightMare, though you know that that isn't true, after all he came to ya'll with no intention of violence. If he wanted you dead he would have killed you and got it over with then waste time allying himself with your mother but no he just wants to benifit himself." Ramirez retorted with another laugh. "Anyways Thunder, you have a great family" He added sarcastically his silver eyes flashing slightly.

Nightmare rolled her eyes but acted as if Ramirez wasn't there. He didn't have a right to anyway, so why pay any attention to him.
"I know, aren't they wonderful?" Thunder meowed back sarcastically, looking to her father. "Anything else? I've got a meeting with HyenaSong, and she won't like it if I'm late." HyenaSong was the leuiteniet(SP) of the fighting wing in carlie's group, and Thunder had joined her. Now HyenaSong was about to start the meeting, and Thunder didn't want to be late.

She'd do. Besides, HyenaSong was about as close as Rao could get to family. She wondered if HyenaSong would suspect anything...

ShadowSpcter turned to Nightmare. He guessed she would be the one to argue the most. "She never told me she was an assasain. It was long before you were born, dear. She lied and said she had no rank." He sighed, looking saddened. "Before I leave, I want you all to know that I love you very much. And I'll never been too far away. Just use your head; You'll find me."

Nightmare looked away, saying nothing. Deep inside, she was crushed. She barely thought this possible. She knew once she was alone, she'd break down, fall apart from the seams.

ShadowSpecter then turned to Holmes, and licked him between the ears as well. "Take care of yourself, son. You'll make a fine tom someday, and I wish for you to find me, eventually." Holmes nodded and watched his father as he moved to Thunder. "Honey, I know you don't like your family much, but I always want you to remember that I love you, and I'll always be with you, in here." He touched his tail tip to her heart, and licked her between the ears.

Thunder looked back up, suddenly feeling overwhelmed with emotions, It nearly choked her, and a lump rose in ehr throat. Reality hit her. This was her father, and she had missed all their time. She made herself promise that soon, soon she would come find him.
