Riverpaw sat outside the apprintice den waiting for CougarKnife to wake up. She heard what happened to her best friend Snowpaw trying to wake up SaborBlades. Yesterday didn't go so well for Riverpaw and CougarKnife. Anyway she was going to keep positive.

CougarKnife padded out with a barely groomed pelt. Today she must be in a worst mood then usual, since she didn't even hiss at or insult RiverPaw, just walked past her and flicked her tail for the apprentice to follow her out of camp. Who knew why she was so thoughtful and out of mood today? Only SaborBlades would, since CougarKnife knew now she would begin her pregnancy and have... she had to breath heavily not to puck, horrified by the idea... kits. Yuck. Though she would never defy the words of Death and act soft towards Death like Sabor had the day before. No, she had followed out what her grandmother had said, meeting with the strong male Death had assigned her to to carry out the family line as strong.

Riverpaw was going to mew a hello but sensed her mentors mood and decided against it. Instead Riverpaw followed her while she soaked in every thing she saw.
