Hey guys. We have a problem. Me and Swifty were discussing the up comnig litters for some of the cats of mine and we discovered that their all related.
SplashFoot+FairyDance= like 4 kits.
MinnowStep+SaltyCreek= 4 more kits.
WilyWolf+MistedMorning= 3 kits.
That 11 kits right there. Splash and Minnow are siblings, and so are Salty and Misted. FairyDance is (I think) related to LavenderRose so that a bigggg problem. We were talking about possible solutions and we pretty much came up with three.
#1. A lot of the kits move to SpectrumClan because they don't beleive that BogClan shouldn't support the Shadowed Doom and move to SC so they can be on CAE's side.
#2. We just kick a bunch of them out into the rogues, loners, and gypsies.
#3. (My least favorite option) We kill off a bucnh like the LavenderRose assasaination.
It's very complicated and difficult for our characters to just have kits! So me and Swift were thinking so that this doesn't happen again is to make a kit board with completely unrelated kits for BogClan or SpectrumClan or all of the Clans. SC could use some more cats, but BC has a lot of kitties already...so we wanted to get your views and stuff. This IS a staff problem cuz we don't want eventual inbreeding.

Plus FairyDance is 1st cousins with Salty and Misted
And BlackAbyss(whom is also having two kits with SharpDagger) are related to LavenderRose as well therefore somehow related to FairyDance.... sooo yeah Misty said the rest....
Oh and ShellShores most recent kits are also related to Salty and Misted.... like 1st Cousins as well

hmm.. OTHER OPTION! we have to start bringing in unrelated cats again, we nee dot have the first battle so people can kill some unwanted or unused cats, and then star creating new cats, do something similar tot he battle of change over a few battles, get a bunch of new unrelated cats, and get rid of a bunch of old family cats.

which is pretty much the massacring option #3

Wait, I have an idea! We could make a certain amount of time a free time, like for a week or a week and a half, where the members can go crazy and make as many new cats as they want. But once that time is up, we go back to normal and try to discourage some of the Big-Family Line cats from mating with the new kitties. Huh? it's really all I could come up with.

Well... I personally don't want to massacre all my big cat family line kitties... that's practically all my cats almost....

Well my idea doesn't envolve killing anyone. No one has to die.

But with new cats the clan has huge numbers.

So? And not that huge. Remember, there's a bunch of inactive characters too. Well, what if we limited it down? Like, 7 out-of-then-air kitties per member?

define 'big' or 'huge' how many cats does it take to make a clan 'big' or 'huge'?

Yeah, what Swifty said.

Get rid of unactive charries?
|
|
|
Post by $~Swifty~$ on Jan 3, 2009 18:19:57 GMT -5
that MIGHT not necessarily work because the unactive ones in some cases might be those that are from a small family so we could be getting rid of the ones that we need to keep and make the whole imbreeding problem worse... It's like who DOESN'T want someone from like VampireBat or Death family because they're so cool and stuff... Almost all of my characters are from large families because of that... they're from a large family therefore a bit more interesting to rp... but it could work as well...

Get rid of the unactive charries from big familes?

How about you all limit the number of kits per litter from a big family line to one kit?
Or (MY FAV IDEA) you could bring into the clan's territory a new flower or tree species that activates a previously dormant gene in the DNA of the male and/or female cats of --(insert biggest problem family here)-- Basically the cats from the big problem family cannot have kittens. They become, because of a new biological factor... infertile.

.....Uh... Thats sounds really impossible. Sure, crazy things have happened in the past, but don't you want even a teeny bit of the site to be realistic?
Still following your idea Willow, what if, instead of that with the weird DNA and plant stuff, we just have Twolegs set the traps like in the books where LeafPool got caught, except the do the capute-neuter-release thingy. That why, no kits, but it's still realistic.

But then they couldnt be warriors anymore. Like in the books, neutered cats can not be warriors. Says so in the Warrior's Code. Kittypets? Sure! Wild warriors? I dont think so. And this is a site about cats who talk to each other and dye their fur and pierce their ears and forge battle claws with which to kill the leaders of their fantastically designed social system. It's hardly realistic. But do what you want. I'm just pointing out that your idea wouldnt work and that you have no real evidence against my idea. =P

Sure I do. Nothing like that is real!
And it says nothing in the warrior code about neutered cats not allowed to be warriors. It just says they rejected the soft life of a kittypet.

Therefore, they reject neutered cats.
Remember when Sludge, in FireStar's Quest, asked FireStar if he had to move in with ThunderClan because he was seeing starry cats in his dreams? FireStar responded by kindly informing Sludge that neutered cats could never be warriors. U can look it up if you dont believe me. Unless, of course, you havent read FireStar's Quest...
