"Now," she meowed simply. "You will meet the Dogs. When the sun setting, there'd be plenty roaming around. Let's take a walk and see if we're lucky. I also want Elva to meet you. I believe you have potential." She stood up and padded away. Now, she is going to test the kit's agility and speed. Let's see if he could catch up to her...

Tommy stood and padded after Sayuri, careful to keep his pace to match her's so he wouldn't fall behind. "How many Dogs are there?"

She shrugged. "A lot. Half a clan." She quickened her pace, and jumped on a low roof. She then crossed over a ditch. She looked over her shoulder, to see if Tommy Tomato made it.

Tommy was surprised as Sayuri pulled up away from him. He quickened, too, having to high to get up on the roof. He tripped once over tile, but then shot forward."Could you wait up!" He panted to Sayuri. He served around the ditch, knowing it would be an impossible leap for him.

She smiled sweetly. "Nope, sorry," Sayuri purred. Then, she short forward again. This time it was just a very long alley. So it was actually for the speed...

Tommy was now streaking as fast as he could possibly go, as fast as he had gone with the dogs on his tail that night, and that was pretty fast. It felt good to have the wind wiping about him and whistling past his ears. He was behind Sayuri, but not too far behind so he would be a failure. He leaped upon a garbage can and launched himself off of it, flying high up in the air. "Yee haw!" he cried.

At end of the alley, Sayuri stopped. She was a little out of breath. And was she ever surprised to see a kit running so fast! "Wow, Tomato. That's... surprising," she breathed. Then she grinned. "One more test: your strength. You will be fighting in the Cage, I fear. You will face one or more Dogs in an isolated area. You will have to stay alive for five minutes. If you do, you're automatically accepted as one of us," she explained. "You're lucky, because you already have an idea of what is a Dog's life. But don't get cocky just because you have an excellent killing sense, wonderful agility, and extreme speed." She paused. "For a kit," her Dog self added. She just couldn't resist. But the wink she gave him proved she was just joking.

"Thanks...Sayuri.." Tommy was nearly collasped on the ground. He couldn't speak for a few minutes, trying so hard to catch his breath. His legs wobbled a little under him. But he did feel proud. He had made it. Now he only has to last through the Cage...ugh, even the name of it sounded scary.

She nodded and flicked her tail. "Let's go," she sang, padding away. This time she kept a medium pace, like that Tommy could relax during the walk. Gain his strength back. It wouldn't be right if he went in the Cage exhausted.
