A beautiful tortoishell wandered through the Kittypet World, heart heavy. She glanced at the sky, it was sunhigh. She hadn't realized that she had wandered into the Twolegplace. Leaf shook her head with a sigh. She still hadn't gotten over that Sam had left. He had said that it was for her protection, and that he still cared because he had sent his sister to check on her. Then she saw a dark gray pelt, and the scent of a she cat came to her noise.

Bailey sat under a tree not far from Leaf. She sniffed the air and turned around to see the pretty tortoiseshell she cat. She knew that this must be the she cat that Sam was with when he came here and was spotted by Holly. She got up and walked over to her. "Hello,"she mewed "I am Bailey."She looked at the she cats coat and knew it was the sam she cat. She knew this because Holly had told her waht she looked like. "Do you know a Sam?"she mewed quietly.

Leaf looked at the she cat, knowing that from her smell she was Sam's mother. Leaf opened her mouth, but lost for words she closed it and quickly looking away. She wasn't ready to talk about Sam.

Bailey tilted her head slightly. And nodded knowing that Leaf did know Sam. "Did he leave you to?"she whipered very qiuetly. She reasted her tail on the smaller she cats soulder breifly.

A white cat looked from afar, he was out of sight watching the two cats mostly Leaf, it was Sam, he had smelled Leaf's scent when she crossed the land to get to the kittypet place. He could not help but see her. Suddenly a big gust of wind blew by, he knew they would smell his scent. He turned and ran away quickly and unseen.

Leaf blinked asthe scent was carried to her, but shook her head, guessing that she was missing Sam so much that she imagined he was here.
(Uhh burn u were supposed to bring Steel not Sam...)

A grey tom walked in behind Bailey his eyes shinning in the sun as he walked towards them. He wondered who Leaf was he had never seen her before, he smelled her scent. Loner. He wondered if she was just passing through.

"Who are you" Steel asked flatly his voice non emotional since he could feel the sadness wafting off the she-cat, he wondered why she was so sad.

Bailey knew that the shecat did not want to talk to talk about Sam any more so she dropped the subject for now. She smiled and turned to Steel "This is the she cat that Holly saw Sam with."she mewed

"Oh" Steel said with a smile now understanding everything more, he knew his son pretty well but he had not seen him for a while so he guessed Sam could have changed. His orange eyes looked to Bailey then back to Leaf.

Leaf's ears flattened to her head, silently just waiting for them to bath her in more questions about who she was or about Sam.

Sam ears flicked fowards, "Have you seen Sam lately?" Steel asked his head tilted slightly. He wondered how his son was doing.

The comment pierced her heart like a thorn. "No, sorry...I haven't." And her sadness became stronger, showing that the source was most likely just that, she wasn't seeing Sam as much as she used to.

"Oh thats fine" Steel meowed his voce calm, as he looked away at the sky that was a pretty blue. He looked back to her with red eyes but they quickly turned to orange again.

Leaf watched him and blinked. "Does red mean angry?" She suddenly ask, meaning how his eyes had changed.

Steel laughed at her question but remained silent as he looked at her with his orange eyes. He looked away almost as if he had heard somthing but looked back.

"And yellow?" Leaf meowed with a beautiful, but weak, smile. Sam had told her that his eyes changed, but never told her what each color meant.

Leaf sighed and swished her tail on the ground. "Fine," She surrended, but said nothing else on the subject, though she was happy it wasn't about Sam. She guessed that soon, though, he would become another conversation, since they all knew who he was.
