MinnowStep emerged from the warriors den, blinking and narrowing her eyes to adjust to the midday sun. The late patrol last night had tired her out quicker than usual. She ruffled her pelt in the sticky, warm atmosphere of BogClan. That was pretty much the one of the only major change she had to become accustomed to when her and her brother left Loner life. That, and having so many cat's around them. Minnow sighed at the thouoght of SplashFoot and ducked back into the dark, cool den, giving her sleeping brother a sharp kick in the ribs. "Whadda want?" he grunted, rolling over and half-opening his drooping eyes. Minnow rolled her eyes.
"You should go take you apprentice out before you both become fat, lazy pigeons!" she hissed in his ear. SplashFoot just batted at his sister sleepily and rolled back over in his nest. MinnowStep sighed, but her brother kept her amused. "Honestly, if it weren't for me or FairyDance you'd never get out of your nest!" At the mention of his mate, SplashFoot's ears perked and he gradually heaved himself to his paws, taking a quick sniff at his mate's empty nest, and padded outside, shooting MinnowStep a look. She just chuckled softly and followed him out once more. SplashFoot headed straightaway for the Fresh-kill Pile and settled down on a crunchy swamp-bird.
MinnowStep stopped outside the entrance of the warrior's den and watched her brother go, before looking about camp and feeling her heart swell with pride to be apart of BogClan. She watched a couple of kits daring each other to inch closer to the resting form of WilyWolf, one of the camp grumps. They'd get their tails snapped off from his sharp tongue if they woke him, but she left the kits to their mischeif. She sniffed about her, trying to catch SaltyCreek's scent as he must've gotten up before her, but found none. maybe he was out on patrol. By the time she made her way over to the Fresh-kill Pile, SplashFoot had finished and was poking his head into the Apprentices Den for his apprentice, EternalPaw. Picking out a frog, not her favorite meal, but she'd leave the small mammals to the queens, for herself, MinnowStep made her way over to the only other warrior still eating, SodPelt. The gray warrior had been moping around camp as if in mourning of someone. But they're hadn't been any death in camp, so she kept her nose out of his buisiness. Beside's he seemed brighter today as she settled herself beside him.
"Good morning MinnowStep." he greeted her.
"Morning SodPelt. Nice day, huh?" she meowed back, taking a bite of her frog.
"Yeah. I'm supposed to lead a hunting patrol later today, want to join? It's only me and RockPrism so far."
"That sounds good. Mind if I find someone else to come along?"
SodPelt nodded, but eyed her good-naturedly.
"Would this someone happen to be a tom by the name of SaltyCreek?" he asked teasingly. MinnowStep smiled.
"Possibly. If I can find him that is. If not, I'll probably ask FairyDance or NorthFrost." SodPelt nodded as MinnowStep stood, finished with her meal. "Sounds good. I'll find you when it's time to go."
"Alright." The tan she-cat padded away, only to be called over by her brother who was standing in front of the nursery, on his way out of camp.
"Hey, have you seen EternalPaw at all today?" her gray-pelted brother asked, the sleep washed away from his eyes.
"Nope. Maybe she/he (?) went out with someone else to train because your so lazy." MinnowStep teased, poking her brother with a paw.
"Hardy har. Just keep an eye out for him/her (?)"
"Alright." MinnowStep watched her brother pad out of camp. Yep. Just another day in the BogClan camp. The tan she-cat turned to a tap one her shoulder. (Anyone. And I'm just throwing this in here to add some normality into Clan life when it's clearly not that normal. XD)
