A tortoishell she cat caustiously stepped into the rogues, tasting the air. Leaf was here to find Sam, and hoped she could stay hidden til then. She had fallen for the tom, of course, and couldn't resist coming. "Sam?" She whispered when she saw a shadow.
"Try again." Came a hiss. Leaf jumped back, but was too late as a calico leaped at her, pinning her.
Vixen grinned, slashing the she cat's shoulder open. "What's a petty longer doing all the way in the rogues.
Leaf hissed and struggled but couldn't get out of the she cats grasp.

Sam heard a cat hiss and struggle and he padded in the grass, he was excited he thought he would be able to see Vixen kill another cat, it would be a good experience to watch. He came out of the grass into the clearing to watch until he noticed Vixen pinning down Leaf, his fur brisltled, he was a young cat now about 13 moons and was quite big so his bristling fur made him look even bigger. "Get off of her" He warned his voice hot with menace.

Vixen hissed. "Petty emotions are getting the best of you, Sam." She snarled, but backed off the she cat. Her teeth clenched as she watched her apprentice, eyes cold.
Leaf stayed on the ground, eyes wide with terror. She had come so close to death... her should begin bleeding a long deep red mark cut across it.

Sam walked over to Leaf looking into her eyes from where he was standing over her, his eyes were reasuring but when he looked at Vixen they were filled of rage. "Leave me alone Vixen" His voice was even as he spoke the looked back down at Leaf nuzzling her softly.

Vixen rolled her eyes. "Yuck." She meowed under her breath and turned, still bristling, away and padded off.
Leaf watched her go, still in shock. She rolled over so she could lay on her belly, wincing in pain of her shoulder. "I though I was done for..." She meowed, then saw the long scratch on her shoulder. "Mousedung." She meowed under her breath, but felt relieved and safe next to Sam.

Sam watched Vixen go then looked back at Leaf, his eyes were filled of mixed emotions. He looked silently at the scratch on her shoulder with his blue eyes, "Should I get you somthing for that?" Sam meowed looking at her his voice alarmingly soft for a tom as big as he was.

Leaf shook her head. "Nothing big... maybe some cobwebs..." She trailed off, not daring to touch her shoulder. She looked up at Sam, then back at her scratch not wanting him to see the emotion held in her eyes.

(hmm and what could that emotion be?)
Sam nodded and looked around for some cobwebs he really did not want to leave her side now just in case... he looked around and found some in a corner of an ally, he dabbed his paw in it and walked back to her and ever so carefully placed it on her shoulder.

Leaf winced in pain as her shoulder was touched, but she stayed still so he could put the cobweb on. She sighed in relief, feeling a bit better. "Thanks Sam." She meowed.

(what was it?  ) Sam looked at her with his crooked smile and lied down by her, his white ears flicking as he listened to his surroundings, looking for any sign of anyone being around. "Im so sorry" He meowed thinking about the danger that she had been in because of him. |

"For what? It isn't your problem." Leaf meowed, watching Sam carefully. If he tensed, she knew she had to run.

Sam stayed still as a statue as he looked at Leaf his eyes scanning her face, trying to find the truth in her words. “Yes but if I would have just left you when we first met this would not have happened” Sam meowed his voice low as he meowed urgently as he dug his paws angrily into the ground.

Leaf felt shock pulse through her body. "What?! You know that's not true! ANd if it was, you still saved me anyway." She meowed, surprised.

Sam growled softly in disagreement as he looked away from her toward the shadows of the alleys, he could not think of something mean to say which was another sign he was unconditionally in love with Leaf. “Still….” He meowed but decided to drop the subject.

Leaf shrugged, wincing slightly but ignoring it. "So have you seen your sister lately?" She meowed, remembering Sam had told Holly he'd visit her once a moon, but wouldn't make promises. It had been a moon since.

"No I have not...." Sam meowed thinking about it, "I planning on going soon... so hmm where should I go now...." He wondered aloud because he could not go back to Vixen's den.

Leaf was about to shrug yet again, but wasn't stupid and knew it would hurt yet again. "Well you can stay with me in the loners until you find a place." She suggested, hopefuly but not letting it show. She was about to ask him about going to her cousins' rogue group's meeting again, but decided but of it.

"Maybe but I'm not staying.... I'm sorry but the rogues are where I belong" Sam meowed his voice bleak as he said the words looking into her eyes. he was not quite ready to give up on the rogues yet....not yet.

Leaf surpressed a sigh of relief. She couldn't believe she had already fallen in love with Sam! She'd only known him for about two moons! She wasn't sure what to stay, so she curled her tail around her paws and yawned slightly. "So... why do you like the rogues?" She asked after a long while of silence.

"Yeah" Sam meowed now standing up looking at the blue sky, he paced a little just wondering what the heck to do about his situation. He looked down at the ground
