Snowpaw bounded to the nursery and looked up at Minkstar, "Yes?" she mewed, even though she knew what it was about.

Moonshadow was even more surprised when she scented a tint of her mother and father's scent, combind with many others. Not rougue, not loner, not gypsy, Moonshadow thought. It was a scent she had never found before. If she tracked her parent's scent down, maybe she could ask them why they left! But wait... didn't the kit say that a fox attacked her mother? And that would mean... the kit was her kin. Moonshadow tried to nudge the kit into consciousness, she wanted to get every little detail about the fox attack, her mother, and where her parents lived.

Snowpaw placed her paw over Moonshadows. "Stop!" she mewed, "Let me take care of the kit, you are not helping by proding t!" she sighed and gently moved Moonshadow out of the way. she looked down t the tiny kit and started checking for any cuts.

Moonshadow jumped back, licking her chest in embarrassment. She had never seen Snowpaw so feirce. "Is she okay?" Moonshadow asked.

Moonshadow nodded her head and trotted off to the fresh kill pile, and picked a sparrow. After a good meal, she padded over to her friend to see how the kit was doing. She just couldn't leave! After all, it had been her who found the kitten! Moonshadow prodded Snowpaw gently, making sure not to alarm her. "Sorry if I'm disturbing you, has Minkstar said anything about keeping the kit or sending her off?"

Moonshadow pounded off to pick up a thrush. She gave the creature to Snowpaw, and walked over to her den to get some sleep.
