The Nocturnal Clan

Moonlight filtered down from the tops of the large tree's that cast the camp in shadows. It was twilight and yet there were still large groups of cats talking in low whispers. Bogclanner's were considered more nocturnal than their fellow clanners.

Shellshore, the new deputy, sat on the outskirts of all the groups. Older warriors surrounded her and they were in deep conversation about battle tactics and how they were prospering.

Kits and apprentices alike were found huddled together in their own little groups. Cliques were more like it. Some moved from group to group, like a social butterfly, while others just stayed in one group and shunned the rest.

Harpsong's patrol just came in and the Twilight patrol was just gathering to set back out. ((Someone can make a seprate post on the Twilight patrol)) Harpsong set down a large fish and briefly talked to Shellshore before sauntering into the Medicine Cat's Den.

Lethe was walking from group to group, but not being a social butterfly. She was looking for her own little clique, whom she couldn't really find. Where was JeweledPaw, StiffenedPaw and the others?

SunPaw sat alone. DawnPaw and Dappled had disappeared, kidnapped by rogues. He liked both of them very much, as if they were cousins. Actually, even more than that. He lost all interest in participating in other conversations, and Lethe had eventually given up on cheering him up.

The purple-eyed white she-cat that was Lithy was skipping from group to group. Mostly, she stopped by to chat with FrozenLeaves' kits. It was obvious she was trying to avoid ToxicKit and his siblings.

CrackedKit listened to SludgeKit telling jokes.

"Okay, so there was this duck in the street. He lifted one leg, he found it funny. He lifted the other leg, and he falls on his butt!" SludgeKit meowed, laughing at his own joke.

His brother just stared. Not a funny joke at all.

But SludgeKit wasn't giving up. "What does "Zzzzb"?"

"I don't know."

"A bee flying backwards!"

Still no laughing.

"Okay... Hmm... Lemme think of another one."

(actually Dawn will be returning without Dappled. She escaped to free the others and Dappled was left in the rogues caz her sister hadn't had tiome... as you know.

*sniff* Poor Dappled She'll be returning soon.)

Jeweledpaw was talking in low whispers with Mui before the pair went over to join Lethe and Sunpaw. Mui flicked her tail in greeting before sitting back down. "Looks like the whole clans out tonight." Mui murmered nonchanlantly. Stifledpaw was now beside Lethe, his paw steps were totally silent and he was just starring up at the moonlight.

Fruitkit rolled her eyes and sighed deeply. "Seriously Sludgekit." She looked over at Crackedkit, "Where's Toxickit?" She asked quizically.

Toxickit had just sat down beside Lithy. "Hey there innocent." He meowed lazily. He glanced over her and an easy smile spread on his handsome kit face. "Got a little smudge." He commented right before he licked her cheek, "There we go, all better." He teased.

Farther into the territory: At the border:
A large white tom set down a drenched bundle of fur and sat down. A deceptively gentler silver tabby came up behind him.
"Are you sure this is it?" Comet asked... he'd never been anywhere near BogClan... didn't have any idea where he was really
"Positive" She meowed in pure confidence..
All three of the cats' pelts were slicked down with water... they'd obviously taken a swim when they got here.
DawnPaw squirmed and lifted her head weakly... She hurt EVERYWHERE... but jumped to her paws immediately when she noticed her Uncle and cousin ... were they going to take her back? The look on their faces made her relax a bit... she was sure they'd saved her.
Comet smiled slightly but didn't say anything
Shade looked down at her younger cousin "Go back to BogClan and STAY there... never come out unless you're with a lot of warriors... I don't save cats except this once, make it worth my while" She hissed softly... about as gentle as Shade got. The two rogues then turned and disappeared towards the Cavern Rogue territory.

DawnPaw sat there for a few moments... what was she going to do now... She looked absolutely horrible.. scratches everywhere, she was drenched, she hurt where she'd been running for so long,and then the unexpected swim and her heart ached.. just knowing that her sister thought she'd abandoned her. She shook her head and decided she'd think of all that later... later... She did get up and started walking towards camp, but the going was slow with the bog and everything..... And exhaustion was catching up to her. She was now running purely on desperation... as she had several hours before.

-Outside the Camp-
A pair of light green eyes bore out of the shadows, "Dawnpaw?" Seth's voice easily carried over to the apprentice. The older tom had been gone about 5 moons and had just returned tonight. He had a large pouch that he carried around his neck and there was an some sort of oddness that surrounded him.

He trotted up to Dawnpaw and haulted her. He eyed her only once before he quickly took off his leather pouch. He began to take out berries and leaves and various odd items that Dawnpaw would have never seen before. Before he applied anything to her wounds,he looked up at her, "Do you trust me?" He asked carefully. His pale green eyes locked with her wary ones.

DawnPaw hesitated... The cat looked familiar, quite familiar actually. She nodded slightly. She knew without help she probably wouldn't make it to camp in this state....

[~*Demon*~]

NewKit walked out of the nursery with a smile. She saw ToxicKit or whatever his name was, by Lithy, she padded up. She read the unhappy expression on Lithy's face and connected it to her den mate. "OIY! you can BACK OFF NOW!" she said loudly in her adorable kit mewl. She had a very sweet voice, it would probably never sound threatening. Her fur fluffed just a bit, making the little calico look like a fluffy mudball, with a white trail down her face and chest and foreleg.

OUTSIDE of Camp:

Seth nodded once. He began mixing various berries with leaves and other odd creations. He applied them all over Dawnpaw's wounds. Humming, or rather chanting, the whole time. His brows were pulled tightly together, he was obviously concentrating on the task at hand. Seth's methods of healing were quite different from the other methods accustomed to Clanners.

Finally he stepped back and looked Dawnpaw over once more. All her wounds had stopped bleeding and her pelt was clean and clear of infection. However, the medicine he used was still plastered on her. "There." He meowed, "Feeling any better?" The pain should feel absolutely numb to her now and she might feel just a bit light headed. She needs some sleep and a good meal. Seth thought to himself as he gathered up the rest of his supplies.

Back IN Camp:

"Hey there Newkit." Toxickit smiled and flicked his tail for her to sit down. "My, you're even more beautiful when your all riled up." He chuckled, a half grin on his face.

"Ummmmm... I think so" She murmmered the light-headedness and the exhaustion making her even more tired... "Everything is numb... Is that good?" She asked. Her words slurring together.

Seth nodded, "Yes, don't worry the light headedness will soon pass. We better get you something to eat and a night's rest." He picked up his pouch with his teeth and slid it neatly over his head. "Alright, let's go to camp and set you up in the Medicine Cat's den." He meowed as he gently nudged Dawnpaw towards the heart of camp.

(Ummmm... not right now.... or at least I haven't picked anyone that I want her to go after yet... I'm waiting til later to decide... see who she'd fit in best with you know)

DawnPaw struggled to her paws, but once she regained them and tried to take a step after Seth she fell back over in her dizziness and exhaustion. Oh how much she hated being a weak... and she called this weak..., but she couldn't help it this time... She was just sooo tired and so helpless. She shook her head "I can't" She whispered laying down "Go get someone from the clan" She suggested despite her frustration.

[~*Demon*~]

NewKit growled. "Not falling for that one, sorry but you simply smell too nasty." she said viciously. She still smelled of rogue, caverns, and dripping pools of water, cold underground breezes, and even open air.

Toxickit shrugged, "Neh. It's the smell of a champion." He joked. "Come on," He proded her in the side, "Lighten up a little."

Seth shook his head, "I'm not going to leave you." He meowed seriously. He looked around and trotted a little ways off, Dawnpaw still in his view. He ripped off some dry moss and trotted back to Dawnpaw. He made a small nest for her and motioned for her to lay down. "Rest." He meowed simply. He looked back around, his ears pricked for any signs of prey or danger.

Soon he pinpointed a small animal not more than a couple foxlengths away. It was definately a toad, no other creature smelt as such. He crouched down and stalked it carefully. When the large toad was in view he pounced and killed the odd animal effectively. He set it down beside Dawnpaw, "Cold?" He suddenly asked.

"No..." She meowed and gave the toad a funny look "I'm not hungry either" She stated putting her head on her paws and closing her orangish yellow eyes. Her ears were pricked swiveling from side to side at any sound she heard... the moment she hears another cat approaching she'll be gone in the blink of an eye....

Lithy was about to tell ToxicKit to get lost, but CrackedKit got a say before her.

"Um, Toxic, not a good idea if you want to keep your fur on yourself. Both she-cats seem ready to rip it right off your back..." his brother warned, eyeing ToxicKit warrily.

SludgeKit glared at CrackedKit. "Shush! it would be quite funny... Don't you think, FruitKit?"

Lethe sat down, wrapping her plumy tail around her small paws.
"M'yeah... too crowed..." she commented. "So, what's new?" she asked, looking at Mui, JeweledPaw & StifledPaw.

Newkit raised her head with a proud look, looking like a much darker version of her mother. "I'd never fall to scum like you, I'd take a tom who is proud, brave, strong, and kind. He wouldn't be a lying cheating rat, nor would he ever look at another she-cat, he'd take my word as law, and live with it." she said firmly, seeming more and more like her mother everyday (XD)

Lithy noticed that. She could see a mini-FrozenLeaves where NewKit stood. A small smile stretched across her face, though her eyes were sad. Did she ever miss the she-cat who took her in...

CrackedKit nearly ran to ToxicKit's side, feeling a fight coming. SludgeKit was close behind, unhappy that they were going to stop that fight. Or maybe they'll participate on their brother's side?

Shade shook her head from where she was sitting in the tree just a few feet away from DawnPaw, Comet had already left to cover for her absence, and to stall those rogues still coming for the runaway apprentice. Rogues don't tend to let their prisoners escape lightly. Already Shade could hear the pawsteps coming. She hissed slightly in frustration, did she have to do everything? She jumped down and in the blink of an eye she was beside Seth "Get to the camp NOW!" She ordered softly, but full of authority. She grabbed DawnPaw by the scruff and half carried and half dragged her cousin across the bog toward the camp, which was fairly close by. She didn't even wait to see if Seth was coming... Right outside she dropped DawnPaw, not going to show herself... not going to let anyone know she was even here. The bog covered her scent and she dashed away in the mud disappearing from sight.

Once she was dropped, DawnPaw was on her feet and dashed into camp and ran until she was about as far away as she could get from the entrance now. Her fur was fluffed out and her eyes now blood red once again...

WilyWolf stretched his body to the fullest extent, then recoiled and relaxed against the ground. His eyes drooped slightly as he absently watched the kits play, so, as you can imagine, it startled him when DawnPaw dashed into camp. "What in the name of-" In a moment, he jumped to his feet and stared after her with bristling fur.

MistedMorning jumped "What?" she looked at ehr mate to see why he was freaking.

LossDream sat in the nursery with her new kits. She almost died because of them but she recovered.

SunPaw didn't even noticed that her eyes were red...
"DawnPaw!" he exclaimed, running to meet her. "Are you alright??"
He bit his tongue. Of course she wasn't alright! What a stupid question to ask.

"It's alright, Wily," Lethe meowed, rolling her black eyes. She got to her paws and went to join her brother and friend. "Where were you?" she asked softly, worry causing a her to frown.

CrackedKit and SludgeKit lifted their heads toward the element that interrupted their fight.
