(( continued from the post in the caverns: circling circling circling round ))
It was still night when Spotty finally arrived. She had stayed away from the night patrol, and managed to sneak past the guards at the entrance.
The small tortoiseshell stalked to the leader's den. There, the rogue she-cat hesitated. What would the leader think of her? Coming visiting in the middle of the night. VioletStar knew very well Spotty hated her. Plus, she was skinny and ragged and looked like an assassin rogue from the weariness and quietness of her moves.
She swallowed silently. If she didn't hid soon, she was going to get discovered. Her pelt was dark, so she was blending in fine. Except that when the moon will poke itself out of the clouds, it will make her vivid yellow eyes shine like a million stars.
So to save herself and get this over with, she went in the den.
"VioletStar?"

VioletStar's head snapped up and looked toward the entrance. She hadn't been fully asleep and for some reason had expected someone to come in this night, but she was very surprised on who it was. "Spotted...?" She started to say but didn't know exactly what ending to put on it. "Why are you here?"

It took all Spotty's willpower to not glare. So instead she looked down at her small paws.
"I had a dream. I couldn't stop myself to come here and warn you. I guess somewhere deep down, I still care," she whispered, her voice quivering.

"Dream of what? About NatureClan?" VioletStar asked somewhat surprised that the rogue that had abandoned them had gotten the dream and not NatureClan's medicine cat... of course then again SpottedPaw was supposed to be their medicine cat sooo....

She nodded. "Yeah." The tortoiseshell looked around, as if looking for something. Actually, she was looking in her mind for a conversation she once had with a spy.
"Oh," she said quickly, remembering. "Had you heard of the vicious blizzards in CelestialClan? And of the sudden heat in MysticClan? Only you and SpectrumClan hadn't been affected yet by any disasters. But I'm afraid NatureClan's time is coming, VioletStar," Spotty explained, talking fast, excitement in her eyes, and fear.

VioletStar nodded, she'd heard of what had happened to them... "What is going to happen to NatureClan?" She asked worriedly. That's just what they needed, their territory to kill them right before they go in to fight the Shadowed Doom on the CAE side.... Great...

Her eyes widened, and then went blank. In a creepy sinister voice, she said, "The trees...."

VioletStar narrowed her eyes slightly in thought "The trees? What about the trees?" She asked trying to picture something that the trees could do to harm her clan.

Spotty smiled, but it quickly disappeared.
"Nature can be very dangerous, leader," she warned. "The trees are growing at impossible speed. They're expending, and seeds are falling. They're unguarded, going wild. Even I noticed. When I came here this night, I saw that the trees were bigger, and there were many, many more," she said. "Soon, there would be too much. They will take all the place. Prey would die or ran away, while cats are stuck. You won't be able to move anymore through your territory. The prey that is left, more likely wood mice, small birds and bats, would be very hard to catch. Imprisoned, you'd die chocking or starving."
Silence.
She looked down at her paws again. "In my dream, my hips got stuck between very thick branches. I wasn't able to move. I was loosing air, since I could barely breathe from the squeeze on my lungs and stomach. I couldn't get food, neither, so I would of starved."

VioletStar was silent for a moment... She had noticed that there were more trees popping up, but she never would have realized that it would get that bad... "Is there a solution to it? Did StarClan show you a way to survive?" She asked hopefully, but... she wasn't expecting anything good.

Spotty shook her head. Then she thought better and shrugged. "They left me a couple sentences to figure out... well, actually, they sang it. It was weird," she giggled. Realizing it wasn't funny, she sang it herself to let VioletStar know: "circling circling circling round
the sea is the sky is the sun is the ground
and the circle within and the circle unseen
where the unknown is known and the future has been" She took a deep breath after that. |

VioletStar looked confused "Have you figured out a meaning yet?" She asked softly thinking the words over and over in her head trying to fathom a meaning from it all.

She nodded. "I think so!" she said proudly, smiling smugly. Ha! Now the leader needed her. Hopefully she regretted allowing StarPaw to take her place.
"Circling, as the past will repeat itself. If you ask me, it means a change is coming.
"The sea, CelestialClan, is the sky, SpectrumClan, is the sun, MysticClan, is the ground, NatureClan. I think. Or something like that. It means we're all the same. So probably we'd need to all realize this. So if we put it all together, it gives BogClan. Ah, it's complicated, but I understand what I mean.
"And the circle within and the circle unseen. It probably means we are not looking at the big picture. Not seeing...
"Where the unknown is known and the future has been. I have no idea what that means. I guess we'll know something that has always been kept unknown to us. And that whatever happens will affect our future for ever," she explained, motioning as she talked.

SpottedPath nodded. "I know. Can I at least be an Alchemist? I don't want to fight again unless I really have to," she meowed, thinking about the life of a warrior. Bad, bad, bad.

She got up. At the exit of the den, she started rolling on her paws nervously.
"Uh, yes," she started, reluctant. Without looking at VioletStar, she said: "I'm sorry."
Then she disappeared out of the den.
