EerieSong pricked her ears, feeling some weird emotion that she never felt before. She had had the kits three moons ago and MenaceStrike had left her 6 moons ago. They were both over it now. The silver tabby watched the kits. She licked their heads. "Stay here." She meowed, and got to take a walk. But she didn't know that she wouldn't come back...
A scream echoed in the camp. EerieSong lay outside the camp with a single slit down her throat. Vixen had killed her.

GlassSpires, who was out hunting very close by, heard the scream. The silver and white dappled she-cat ran where the cry was heard. It smelled like rogues.... the scent of an Alley rogue.
"EerieSong!" she gasped, her eyes widening, at the sight of her dead friend. She started sobbing, loud enough to alert the whole clan yet again.

MenaceStrike pricked his ears, hearing thw two sounds. The massive brown tabby tom raced out, stopping. "What is it?" He meowed, then saw his old mates body. He knew the two had been close. "Oh no..." He meowed and padded closer. He layed his tail tip on her shoulder. To him EerieSong was another Clan mate, so he knew it was harder on GlassSpires. "I'm sorry GlassSpires."

With tears streaming down her face, she leaned her head against the tom's shoulder. "Why...? She didn't deserve this... She had kits and... and..." she cried, and sniffled a lot, unable to continue.

She shook her head stifly, leaning away now to look up at him. "I'll take care of them. It's the least I could do for her..." she whispered, looked at EerieSong with a sad look.

MenaceStrike nodded with a sigh. "She'll be missed." He meowed. "She was your guide, right?" He meowed, seaching for words of comfort.

WhisperedKit came out looking at EerieSong. "Oh don't worry, the kits will be cared for... have no fears... they will remember you.. I promise, they shall be reminded." she said smiling, she was almsot old enough to be a warrior, and yet she wasn't even an apprentice, lazy leader!
For once SilentKit was not with his sister, but rather with AmberPaw.. his cousin.....
WhisperedKit looked at MenaceStrike. "You truly are a horrible father, I think this, so does EerieSong." she said with a slight growl.

GlassSpires' eyes widened. "Oh! WhisperedKit! Do NEVER say that! It's a mean thing to say," she lectured, slightly angered by how the apprentice-aged cat acted.

MenaceStrike narrowed his eyes. "Of course I am hurt. She is my Clanmate, and there'll always be that special place for her. Yes, she is my former mate and I need to help take care of the kits, but that's the meaning of the word former... it's the past, and I would like to put the fighting behind me. But I will grief, and I will mourn."
