**THE BLIZZARD

[Willowishness]

((This is the beginning of a horrible storm that will change CelestialClan's territory into an arctic desert.
In every post from now on, cats should note the dropping temperature and that this is quite possibly the worst winter ever.
There should be a shortage of food, and any unwanted Celestial cats or kits that would die in "still birth" should die because of the cold.))

A very young apprentice, SloePaw, struggled through the swiftly falling snow.
Her sable fur looked white because of the ice plastered to her pelt. Her bright emerald green eyes were glazed with exhaustion.

She had been out on her very first solo hunting mission when the storm had hit.

Her mentor had disapeared and she was all alone, miles, perhaps, from the clan camp.
Her cries for help were drowned out with the howling wind.

She staggered, then collapsed, staring up into the sky as snow piled above her, eventually blocking out the stars. The air around her became frigid; her paw pads went purple with frost bite. She couldnt move and she was soo tired...

She hardly noticed when her mentor piled the snow out of the way and picked the half-consious apprentice up in her jaws as if she were a mere kit.
"Hang on, SloePaw." She meowed around a mouthful of black fur.

The apprentice murmured a sleepy reply,
"I'll try, JuniperCloud..."

The elders were gossiping in their snow-blocked den about how this could easily be the worst storm of their life times.
The apprentices trembled, crouched in their nests.
The queens fluffed their fur against the penetrating cold and prayed to StarClan that their kits were strong enough to bear this.
The medicine cat was alone in her den, shivering in a corner.
The warrior's den was crowded with cats; they were arguing with SongStar about what to do...
JuniperCloud made it into camp with SloePaw dangling limp from her jaws.
She dropped her apprentice to the ground and pressed her ear to her heart. No beat. SloePaw was dead.
JuniperCloud huddled in her own private misery, hardly listening to what the warriors and SongStar were saying...

[~*Demon*~]

HarmonyGalaxy was tucked up in the nursery, tightly wrapped around DaggerKit, her only kit, the other two had died about two moons ago, when they were born, days after they were born actually. DaggerKit was the only kit she had left in the clan, her older litter had been banished.

Angelwing's fur was puffed up as far as she could get it, she looked like a fluffy gray cloud. She sat blindly listening to the cold blizzard outside the warriors den, she listened intently as well to her clan mate's argument.

"We can't survive without food for long... if the blizzard lasts for more than a day or two we will starve, or become cannibalistic, which I for one refuse to do!" That was MountainStorm, her thinner fur was slicked down so tight there was no way for air to get in, and she had to keep facing directions so the wind that got in the camp didn't ruffle her fur and freeze her. She huddled closely to her fluffy, blind, older sister, who was much warmer than she was.

"The Blizzard will end soon, we won't starve! you have to have faith!" EternalFaith mewed brightly, her own tabby fur fluffed out against the cold.

[WolfMoon]

Wolfmoon's fur was puffed up against the wind as the blizzard blew. She was lucky that she had such thick fur. Wolfmoon wanted to seek out EndlessSteps she needed to talk to him. Wolfmoon sat where the stargazers would sit and tried to see the stars, they wern't there. Wolfmoon was about to cry when she saw JuniperCloud pad in with SloePaw. Her heart skipped a beat as she noticed JuniperCloud start to morn. Wolfmoon got up and padded to JuniperCloud and put her tail tip on her shoulder.

[~*Snowy*~]

(Come on, why does my kitty have to be all alone. ))

AquaMarine shivered in the corner, preparing herbs, for the everyone in the clan. She should have prepared but she just wasn't good enough... No I'm good enough, I am an awesome medicine cat, why else would SpottedHeart have made me her apprentice. She cursed herself.

ChimneySweep lay with Goldenheart, huddled towards her sharing body heat, he have trust that StarClan would help them, hopefully...

ThunderHeart licked her paws, she was to old to endure this. She hoped StarClan would do the best for her and the clan. ((Should I kill her?))

SpottedFire paced back and forth, trying to get her blood pumping enough to help her stay warm. She spotted some onions in the corner, they looked wild, but there was quiet a few. Wild Onion Se thought instantly, then thought I've never seen this herb before. She was so confused, she was the only cat that had seen it though... weird.

EndlessSteps looked outside, across the camp was the StarGazers den, WolfMoon was in there. He missed her so much and longed to be with her. He finally turned his head and spoke. "What is SongStar doing right now to help us, she should've known this was coming, at least Aquamarine should've had a sign."

"No she didn't, I did." Came a voice, SpottedFire.

"What?" He meowed in amusiment, thinking it was a joke.

"I had the dream." She replied knowingly.

"What was it about, why didn't we know about it." He growled.

"I didn't know what to do." She mewed softly.

"So we'll all die because of your afraidness." He growled, deeply mad.

"I don't know, I just don't." Spottedfire replied sadly.

"What was the dream about then!" He meowed angrily.

"It was of cats, trudging through the snow, happy. Then A blizzard came, they were buried." She paused then continued. "It became warm but the blizzard was still going somehow. i didn't know what it ment until now." She paused suddenly. "They died." She meowed barely over a whisper.

"So what does it mean!" He growled again.

'I don't know." She meowed then ended the conversation by sitting by the wall.

"It's okay." ThunderHeart came over to her neice and sat beside her. "I hope we'll cope."

"Yes, I hope we will."


SongStar had her head in her paws, she was so foolish, her clan could be dying and she had no clue what to do. Oh StarClan help me. She thought.

[WolfMoon]

Wolfmoon bounded to EndlessSteps side clearly happy to see him. "The stars are hidden, i can't see anything up there." She pressed her side into his body and purred. "I am sure that StarClan will help us." Wolfmoon looked at AquaMaire and worried about her.

[~*Snowy*~]

((Okay to make things clear, I have no idea how WolfMoon got to one den to the other and Aquamarine is in the medicine cat den, EndlessSteps and her in the warrior den. XD))

"I hope we will cope, but is this StarClan's fault?" He grolwed.

[~*Demon*~]

EternalFaith sighed "Its not StarClan's fault, it can't be, they just need time to figure out how to help us! thats all!!!" EternalFaith looked at the den where her twin was... she hated being this far from her twin for this long....

MountainStorm snarled "Of course it's Starclan's fault! They want the weak dead, they want rid of all of our clan..... thats why we are snowed in, because we are supposed to die, there can only be four clans, Starclan chose us to die! Because we didn't hold strong against the evil, when we were the only clan not possessed!" she spat

[Spindle]

DarkDawn looked down at her paw and shivered with horror. She had recently got a cut that started bleeding before freezing her paw over in bloody ice. She peered up at the sky. Like WolfMoon, the stars were not visible. "StarClan's giving us no signs. We will have to figure this out on our own."

[Willowishness]

At WolfMoon's touch, JuniperCloud straightened,
"What do we do, SongStar? Do you want some of the strongest, most thick-pelted warriors to go out and gather things to patch up the nursery with? The queens wont be able to hold out long against this storm." She was worried about PaleFace, the mother of SloePaw's smaller but not younger siblings. SloePaw had graduated early because she was so big; her siblings were still in the nursery.
Of course JuniperCloud would want to do everything possible to make up for her incompotence with SloePaw.

[~*Demon*~]

EternalFaith nodded "AngelWings and I could go." she said softly.
AngelWings nodded "I'd be happy to go..." she said softly.

MountainStorm shivered, she would hate to go... but she would if she was commanded

[~*Snowy*~]

((Looks 0ff, okay it's not just me. Um AngelWings is blind so..))

"ChimneySweep, go help AquaMarine with herbs, and EternalFaith, MountainStorm and JuniperCloud, go and collect things you think will help make us warmer. AngelWings, go get the queens, kits and anyone else not in the warrior den. We will all stay here for now, kits, queens, elders and the older warriors will be at the back of the den." She looked a ThunderHeart, because she was the oldest warrior.
"Apprentices will be next back, then the warriors and me." She paused an afterthought came to her head. "AquaMarine will also be at the back with her herbs, we must keep all the herbs in here warm, so they won't freeze and wither." She meowed.

"The thicker pelted warriors will gather the things we need, they will be in patrols, no apprentice is permitted even close to the front of the den, e don't want to lose another one." She stopped, then muttered to herself. "Possibly this will help me name a deputy."

ThunderHeart went to the back of the cave, she was glad SongStar had sent her back here, it was warmer, her frail bones couldn't take it much more. She laid her head in her paws and fell asleep.

ChimneySweep went tothe edge of the den and sprinted to the medicine den, as soon as he entered he was freezing, this den was much colder then the warriors. He went over to her a nosed her awake, she was freezing cold, her paws and tougne(sp?) blue, he worried.

AquaMarine smiled at ChimneySweep's instructions, and brought some herbs to the warriors den where she set up.

MountainStorm jsut barely refrained from groaning. she puffed up her fur, and went with EternalFaith, staying as close as she could to her friend, who was fluffier and warmer than MountainStorm, cold rarely bothered the thin she-cat, but this cold did.
AngelWings padded otu into the cold, and went into the nursery shoving through the snow barrier that had formed at the entrance. "Ok, all of you, we need to get you to the warriors den... so everyone grab a kit/.... lets go.. one at a time.. easy." She took HarmnyGalaxy and DaggerKit first.

[WolfMoon]

(Snowy she is fast XD and i don't know how she did it either but she did lol)

Wolfmoon was confused then the stars answer was there all along. The north star was missing and thats what it ment. Wolfmoon jumped and ran to Darkdawn, "DarkDawn!!!! I figured out something." She mewed panting. Being serious now more than ever.

[$~Swifty~$]

LeopardStrike who had been out hunting when the storm hit plunged through the high snow. His thin pelt barely helped keep out this cold, and to his dismay he knew he was slowing. His footsteps taking longer and longer each time. Luckily for him he wasn't very far from the camp. He would make it there soon if he could keep himself moving. Just as he was about to come over the hill the wind changed directions and brought with a tiny mew. He froze for a moment wondering if he'd even heard it at all. After a few moments he heard it again and he swiveled around and ran toward the sound. Once he got the general direction he found that it was coming from a single bush now covered in snow. He pushed the snow away and the tiny mew immediately got louder. Between two large branches was a kit, probably around two moons. The kit had fluffy black... almost blue fur, and wide blue eyes. He reached down and carefully grabbed the kit before hurrying as quickly as he could back toward camp.

ForeverHope watched her sister and the other cats leave with a sigh her fluffy dark tabby pelt fluffed up so she looked twice perhaps three times her size. The skinny she-cat turned toward WolfMoon and DarkDawn where a new conversation had started.

Soon enough AquaMarine and all the herbs were in the back of the warriors den, so they wouldn't freeze.

ChimneySweep shoke off all the ice and went out to the prey pile and unburied the prey, most of the prey was either frozen solid or not healthy to eat. He took in what was good. Two rabbits, 3 voles and a sparrow.
He walked over to the queens and kits nd lay down two voles, he then went over to AquaMarine gave her the ramaining vole and put the other prey in the middle for the others to eat.

ThunderHeart went up and cut a rabbit in half and brought in where she was sitting, and ate it up.

StrongClaws wrestled with StillWaters by the entrance of the den, StrongClaws was winning.

EndlessSteps watched as WolfMoon ran off to her fellow StarGazer, his eyes caught the small black kit. AquaMarine's eyes were also on the small thing.

[Spindle]

DarkDawn looked down on her friend. "What is it?"

[~*Snowy*~]

StrongClaws shivered suddenly, and StillWaters stopped wrestling. "I'm cold." he meowed.

"Yeah, this could be one of the coldest stroms yet, and with the temperature keep dropping... I don't know, I hope StarClan's on are side." StillWaters meowed.

[WolfMoon]

"Remember the night we could not see the north star? StarClan tried to warn us!!!!!" The white she-cat mewed eagerly. "We did have a sign." Her tail twitched with happyness of her finding.

[Spindle]

DarkDawn's eyes lit up. "They did try to help, we just didn't know how! Good job, WolfMoon!"
"But," she said, her face dropping, "that doesn't give us an answer to the cold problem."

[WolfMoon]

"Maybe we should put something in front of the dens to keep the cold wind out of them. Like brambles or moss or tree branches." Wolfmoon's face was thoughtfull. Twitching her tail Wolfmoon planned how to help her clan.

[Spindle]

DarkDawn saw that her friend had a plan. "Keep thinking WolfMoon, and go tell SongStar." She looked over at her tired leader. "I think she would appreciate it"

[WolfMoon]

(you mean SongStar??? lol)

[~*Snowy*~]

SongStar closed her eyes for a moment, how could she be leader she was so tired, so cold.

StillWaters lay down, he was somehow getting weaker, colder. He went out of the cave, wanting to go hunting knowing he was cold. He trudged through the snow trying to scent something, something to help feed the clan. Every pawstep was slower and slower until he was finally exasted, at the border, he fell over. He shivered then relized he was getting warmer, he was so tired, so very tired. As he closed his eyes he saw magnificent colors, huses of purples, blues and greens. Finally he fell asleep into a great slumber, never to wake again.

StrongClaws looked around noticing that his greatest companion wasn't anywhere to be found. He looked around, where was he? he walked over to the tired leader, "I can't find StillWaters." He meowed softly, his voice shaking.

"He went to go hunting." She said simply.

"But, in this weather? He would surely freeze to death out there!" he replied sturnly.

"He insisted to go out, the clan is hungry." She meowedoverwhelmed by fatigue.

"But he was freezing before he left, how could you not relize!" He yelled at SongStar.

SongStar just looked at him then put her head in her paws to go to sleep.

"Great Leader we have." He muttered sarcasticly as he walked away.

ThunderHeart tried to stand up, she was to frail, she knew it was time, her muzzle, grey with age, she would go to SongStar and tell her, she had sevred the clan enough, she was now to old to continue on as a warrior, she was ready to become an elder.

Tears cluttered her eyes as she scavenged in her memories, she thought of her sister Spottedheart, they used to always play as kits. She closed her eyes and fell asleep, shivering even though she was in the warmest spot possible.

[WolfMoon]

Wolfmoon paded up into Songstar's den, "Songstar? I have some ideas on how to get us warmer and away from the cold wind." She mewed to her leader. She waited for Songstar to mew something to her anything would help, she hoped.

[~Stormy~]

LionManes ears layed back on his head as he watched the snow flurries fall from the sky. He looked around the clearing. No friends... He sighed and curled into the icy snow himself.

GoldenHeart pressed againt her mate, shaking when a sudden wind covered her in white. "I hate this." She grumbled through chattering teeth.
