The Perfect Spot

[Spindle]

Speed looked inside the strange caves. Deserted. She flitted in, her paws never stationary, as she reviewed the caves. Shards of pottery and TwoLeg bones would help with the 'assassin's cave' feeling. Speed spun around quickly, eying up boulders by the edge of the cave. 'I wonder...' she thought. Her paws quietly walked her to the edge. She looked down. It was a long way to the ground. Speed recognized the area below her as the In-Between. A small bird stood on the pathway, desperately grubbing for worms before more cats arrived. She crept over to a small boulder, and with her lithe body straining, shoved the boulder over the edge. Speed ran down a rocky path down to the rock. Shoving it over, she saw the bloody remains of the bird splattered on the boulder. She scraped the carcass off with her paw, and ate it. "Yuck," she said to herself. "Too dusty." Speed pushed the rock back to her cave. Once there she laid down to rest. "Not bad," she muttered. "These rocks could defiantly come in handy for assassin missions..."
She knew she had found the perfect spot.

"Who do we have here?" the golden eyes that appeared aroudn the entrance to the new chosen cave glowed with a dark malice. The small lithe Bengal body that followed didn't appear dangerous at first glance. If you looked closely you saw the well trained muscles, and the sharp claws that never quite fully sheathed. This was a cat every cat had been told about in horror stories as a kit.... Her name fit her too well. Her children matched her name as easily as the stories did. Deathsbreath had a soft whispering alto voice, that seemed to come from a cat much more powerful and larger than the little she-cat that sat there staring at Speed. Death looked so innocent, unless you looked into the pale golden depths and saw the death, the hunger for it, the easy malice in them, the lack of conscience.

[Spindle]

Speed's eyes narrowed suspiciously. "Who are you?" she hissed, claws unsheathed and muscles tenced. Her past experiences had made her wary of other cats, especially females.

[~*Demon*~]

"I am the end, the final breath, the final beat, the end, and yet the beginning." she said in a soft menacing voice. her eyes narrowed matchign the malicious grin, she didn't move form where she sat, didn't even tense as she saw the other she-0cat prepare for a fight, Death never lost.....and her opponents usually ended up in a grfave, or at least marked for a grave.

[Spindle]

"I don't want to fight you," Speed hissed quietly. "Just tell me what you want, and I'll do it." She hated having to be the dormant cat, but she knew she couldn't fight this cat and live.

[~*Demon*~]

Death snickered softly "What do I want?" she asked softly "Hmmm... world domination.......... death... I don't know." She sat calmly. watching her. "I don't have any wants beyond what I have little assassin.... besides more to do." she sat calmly

[Spindle]

Speed remained tensed. She didn't trust Death. "I could join you, help you. I have nothing left to live for."

[~*Demon*~]

"Hmm I suppose.. Corruption does need a mate.... and a strong assasin to add to the family strength wouldn't hurtt..." she surveyed Sped approaching her and walking around her in strong smooth steps that displayed well trained muscles under her pelt.

[Spindle]

Speed just stared at Death. "I can help. I have no connections to worry about. I'll kill anyone."

[EmberGlow]

A small white kitten bounded in. Well, she was so tiny and childish she looked like a kitten. She was seven moons old now, but her dark purple eyes were still wide with the mischief of a troublemaker kit.
"Hello, Ma'am!" she squeaked, bowing to her adopted 'mother'. The she-kit turned her intense eyes on Speed, and they turned so innocent it made her face impossibly adorable. "Ooohhh... A knew friend? Yay! What's your name? I'm Lithia! But you can just call me Lithy. Do you wanna play moss-ball with me? Please?" Her voice was high, hyper, but so musical at the same time, like a piercing yet irresistible sound.

[Spindle]

Speed fought off the urge to play with the young cat. Although she loved kits, her wariness of females let her resist. "Not right now Lithy, maybe later. Death and I are in a meeting." She turned back to Death. "So what do you say?"

[~*Demon*~]

"Hello Lithy." Death gave a slight smile. "I will introduce you to my son Corruption.. and we live here in these cliffs mostly anyway... soo you won't have to move.... Lithy Remember FrozenLeaves want to see you at moon rise." Death said before vanishing out the cave quickly headed off on her own errand, Corruption. and oh lovley.

[EmberGlow]

"Okay!! Bye-bye," she called after Death, her eyes bright.
Lithy looked back up at Speed, beaming. "So now can we play? Pwease?" she sang.

[Spindle]

"Okay, what should we play?"

[EmberGlow]

She frowned. "I dunno," Lithy meowed, her voice sweet. "Let's go see if there's moss!"
Without another word, she dashed to the closest 'wall', and stated scraping at the crusted green dead moss. "It's all hard," the kit complained.

[Spindle]

Speed couldn't bear to see Lithy so heartbroken. "C'mon, I bet there's moss somewhere in the In-Between. Let's go find some!" Speed rushed down the trail, searching for moss as she went.

[EmberGlow]

"Okey!"A grin stretched across her lil' face, and she ran after Speed.
"Moss, moss, moss, we want moss!" the white kitten sang, quite joyfully.

[Spindle]

As they searched for moss, Speed asked Lithy some questions. 'Hey Lithy, do you know who Corruption is?"

[~Stormy~]

Lithy smiled widely. "Corruption? He's just like a big brother! But," she paused to look up innocently at Speed. "If somehow he dislikes you, then everyone will turn against you. He can... corrupt relations if he want. It's hard to explain. But you'd love him! And he'll love you, too. Great personality and looks."
She skipped again, but before they could find moss, she heard the sound of silent paw-steps. "Speaking of the Devil..."

Speed stopped searching for moss and spun around. A cat was walking towards them.

The second largest of his litter Corruption was actually the size of a normal tom, most of his family was small, they blamed Spice. He walked slowly forward, his eyes taking in Lithy and the she-cat... mom was right.. not too bad looking. he thought quickly. "Lithy." he greeted gently looking at the white puffball. "And I am to suppose you are Speed then? Mother said Lithy would be with you so I have to assume that." he said sitting down once he was about a tail length away, licking one white paw.

"You assumed right. I'm Speed." She said, muscles relaxing. She was so much more comfortable around toms.

[~*Demon*~]

"Well then, nice to meet you Corruption." he introduced himself with a tilt of his head. "Lithy, when you have the time, you should tell the family that Mom is having more kits, and some of the other families as well." he said with a grin. "and remind me why we haven't killed Seer yet?" he asked thinking about the fortune telling blind she-cat who had told him yesterday that Death would fall, and Fatality would rise.... how weird....
