Something's Not Right

DarkDawn stared up at the night sky and studyed the constialtions. The little Dipper was a jumbled mess. An apprentice is confused...
The constilation Virgo shown brightly. DarkDawn smiled slightly. A cat is in love...
She checked the sky, and in horror, found the North Star missing. Something is not right...

"What else do the stars say DarkDawn? They North Star is missing thats not good from what FrozenHeart told me." Wolfpaw's eyes were full with stars as usual. Her tail twitched as she waited for an answer.

FrozenHeart, the oldest and most experienced Star gazer, the other two were very young, his apprentice was the youngest as she was not yet a StarGazer. The odd thing was WolfPaw was almost ready, she was so fast at learning these things, faster then he ever was, she was ready to become a StarGazer, he would tell SongStar soon.

The stars can't tell us as much as we may want, Wolfpaw, DarkDawn said quietly. They are more like...instincts. Feelings. They don't tell us exactly who or when, they just send us vibes in constillations. Do you get it?

"Oh, yeah i get that." Nodding Wolfpaw kept looking at the stars. "What do shooting stars mean DarkDawn?"

"Its the passing of a cat from life to death" ForeverHope whispered coming out from behind the three other StarGazers. She sat down beside WolfPaw and turned her chocolate brown eyes to the sky.

[WolfMoon]

"Oh. So many cats are seen in the stars? Well I mean you can count the number of cats that die every night?" Her mew was a low whisper. Her hazel eyes filled with the stars of knowledge. "I think my mother is up there, I see her every time I stargaze, she looks upon me, and nods her happiness." Wolfpaw's mew was hoarse with wonder.

I'm sure she is, meowed DarkDawn quietly. And I know she's proud of you. You've gone far from when I first met you.
I guess you could count all the cats that died, but why would you want to? Our focus right now is to read signs for the cats alive today.

[WolfMoon]

"Right, umm... The big dipper shineing brightly means..happyness is underway..right?" Wolfpaw meowed with a sence of wiseness in her voice. She loved looking at the stars, she fet peaceful when they showed. The coolness of the night brought Wolfpaw even more comfert.

[Spindle]

Yes, usually. But look at the other stars. The Little Dipper is so mixed up, the happiness may only be for cats older that apprentices.
In this case, though, you're right. The power from that constilation is especially strong.

[WolfMoon]

Wolfpaw was happy that she recieved praise from the shecat. She looked up to DArkDawn and enjoyed hanging out with her. "The North Star, means, well from what StarClan is telling me, is that our food source will become skinny and hard to find. They also say that many cats will become sick and close to death." Wolfpaw meowed, her eyes had stars in them as she told what StarClan was telling her.

Good! That's exactly what it means! DarkDawn looked at Wolfpaw with wonder. Her gift is strong... she thought. FrozenHeart could never wish for a better apprentice.

[WolfMoon]

Wolfpaw beamed with the praise. "Thanks, my mother tells me things that do come true and i get warnings. Some i have to tell SongStar but some i don't." The white apprintice mewed with wisdom. Her wisdom was so great at times it was like all of StarClan was in her body and talked through it.

[Spindle]

DarkDawn gave her a small smile before looking back at the stars. "I think that's it for tonight. Come on, we'd better go to bed."

"FOREVERHOOOOPEEEEE!!!!!" EternalFaith screeched scrambling in, she ran right through the middle of DarkDawn, crashing into WOlfMoon, and careening into her twin. "Ooppppsssssiees.. sorry guys!" she said smiling nervously. "Anyway, Foreverhope, why are you laying on the ground like that? isn't that position painful?" she asked
