MoonRock had just given birth to a litter of four. Four beautiful additions to the clan and family line. The First born was Whitekit. The last born was Blackkit. Moonrock began to lick them clean, her ears pricked for her mate. EbonyChains.

"Lovely kits. EbonyChains will be proud." Mayhem's dark gray and light cream head poked into the nursery when he caught scent of the new arrivals.
"Too bad he's on patrol right now. If he knew the kits were coming today, he probably wouldnt have gone."

Moonrock flicked her tail for him to sit. She didn't want to be alone right now. "Thank you Mayhem." She purred happily.

Mayhem's paws pricked with surprise that the she-cat would want him to stick around. She was probably lonely because EbonyChains wasnt back yet.
"Have you named them yet?"

She nodded. "Whitekit. IceBerry. Frostedkit. Blackkit." She meowed, "They're all shecats." She informed him. "So why did you ever leave rouge life?" She finally meowed, as she looked up at him.
She'd always wondered that. She could keep a secret, plus no one was even in the nursery. She gazed up at him with wonderment.

Mayhem glanced at her curiously, wondering why she would ever want to know something like that.
"EbonyChains and another few relatives of mine asked me to come here. HarmonyGalaxy kept me here. It's sort of home, now." He summed it up, leaving out certain details.
"You know, there was a she-cat I used to run around with, back when I was a Rogue. I wonder what happened to her... She's probably forgotten me by now." He seemed to run over what that she-cat might be doing now in his head several times. The tom didnt even seem aware of MoonRock's presence anymore.

That seemed to shake him.
"If she did, so what?" He managed finally, eyes on the walls of the nursery.
Knowing Eternity, she'd probably panicked and left the kits with some other she-cat. Eternity was too young to be a mother, at the time he'd left her.

"You leave her alone. To care for YOUR kits. She could have died bearing them. Or bringing them up." She let out a sigh.
"YOu should go up to the caverns, just drop in and check on her. Then you wont' have to wonder OR see her ever again, if you wish it."

"There's no reason to check on her. She probably doesnt remember me, anyways." He'd check on her anyways, he knew. MoonRock's idea was just too possible and curiosity would get the better of him...

Mayhem opened his mouth to say something, but shut it again. He flashed a quick smile MoonRock's way.
"I might do that." And then he was gone. Voices outside the nursery suggested that a patrol had returned. It might be the one EbonyChains was on.
