"We can make it, little one... Stay with me," MarshGrass was whispering to a newborn silver, black and blue kit. Both cats seemed white because of all the snow that fell on them. The wind seemed to protest, blowing harshly, sending piles and piles of snow on the cats. It was almost a blizzard, on the 'storm' was too close to the ground. MarshGrass had found the kit abandoned under the snow, and she almost stepped over it. Now she was rushing to back, as the tom kit was almost half-frozen. But so was she, and she was getting extremely tired. In the end, she fell to the ground, too exhausted to continue. "Dont'... die... WinterKit..." were her final words, and she named the kit at her last second. But a cat, or was it cats, were close, close enough to hear those final words and maybe save the newborn kitten.

ForeverPaw who had heard the cat walking around had turned direction to meet them. She stared shocked at the fallen MarshGrass. She ran quickly to MarshGrass to find that she was already dead. ForeverPaw turned to the newly named Winterkit. " Don't worry. I'll save you " She promised. She picked him up and began trudging through the snow, her fur fluffed up against the cold doing her best to sheild the kit from the wind.

The kit whimpered weakly. That was the only sign he was alive. His fur formed icy crystals, and the temperature his body was was the one of the dead.

ForeverPaw pushed into the camp and ran straight to the medicine cats' den ignoring all the curious gazes that followed her as she passed. She would go to SongStar once she dropped off Winterkit at the medicine cat.

EternalPAw appeared next to her sister "ForeverPaw?!" she asked quickly sniffing her fur "Is someone still out there?!" she asked she didn't even need an answer before runnign out into the storm, her thick fur stayed warmas she went out for MarshGrass's body

" Wait, EternalPaw! " ForeverPaw yowled after her hoplessly. ForeverPaw quickly made a nice warm nest for Winterkit and then curled her fluffy body around it to keep him warm until the medicine cat came. "Hurry EternalPaw" She whispered.

EternalPaw returned to camp dragging the body of MarshGrass humming softly to herself "Just keep walking just keep walking, don't think about it don't think about it just keep walking just keep walking"

ForeverPaw moved out of the way so that AquaMarine could get a better view of the kit. "I think he's gonna be fine" She meowed trying to be somewhat helpful as she padded toward her twin

Feeling that the air has slightly changed, WinterKit's eyelids slowly oppened. He just stared at the seeds, already disliking them, event though he must of never ate some in his last moon.
He looked up at AquaMarine.
"Mwint," the gray kit said, his blue eyes serious.

He closed his eyes, as if trying to find the right words. "Desert. In-Between. Brown tabby took Mint away, took me in snow," WinterKit managed to say, his voice a little shaky. "I want Mint now. No Mommy n' Daddy. Mean. Cruel."

That seemed to satisfy him, and he yawned, obviously tired. WinterKit lay down in a tight ball, his fluffy white tail touching his silver nose, while his blue and black back curved elegantly in a 2/3 circle. He looked like a ball of fur, his closed eyes only visible by the black marks circling them.
