"Oh." ThunderKit pawed the ground nervously. She was dying to ask more questions, but SpeckledGlass seems shaken. "Is it okay if you tell me more about him? You don't have to if you don't want to..." She talked now in a much more lower voice, almost a mutter.

ThunderKit smiled, admiration in her eyes at the bravery of this queen. "Everything! His personality, what he did, his friends, how he met my mother, how you and him became best friends, why his name is LightSun, his twin sister MarbleFlower...." and she went on and on. Everything. She wanted to know every little detail of her father's life.

Impossible or not, ThunderKit's bright yellow eyes brightened even more, like two suns in the blackness of night, they stood out of her black fur. The kit sat down, nearly restless, always shifting her paws. This was going to be a great story, she could feel it.

" I became best friends with LightSun, then Lightkit, when he first decided to venture out of the nursery. I decided to go along with him and his sister Marblekit. His enthusiasm was incredible. He was very happy, never down and made even the saddest moments happy and laughable. We accidently ran into badgers though of course he decided to PLAY with them instead of running away. So both of us began jumping just out of reach of the badgers until some warriors came and chased them away.... ruining our fun. " SpeckledGlass smiled at the memory and paused to catch Thunderkit's reaction to the story.

Her mouth was in a surprised "O" form.
"You... played... with... badgers? Great StarClan!" ThunderKit squeaked, her eyes huge, looking at SpeckledGlass as if she just turned pink.

SpeckledGlass laughed putting on the widest smile she had smiled since LightSun had died. "Well, I definetly wouldn't recommend doing it, but yes we decided to play with badgers "

" Uh oh " SpeckledGlass thought, but continued smiling. " The next thing we did was escape from the nursery again. This time without Marblekit to watch us and tell us if something was wrong or not. Naturally we decided to go get into trouble. We headed toward the MinkStar's den, which was then IvoryStar's den. We made a HUGE mess and then ran out and began playing tag. He used to chase me around yowling FindleSticks at me. That became my second name. " SpeckledGlass paused again looking at the kit

SpeckledGlass rolled her eyes before continuing. " LightSun ALWAYS snuck out of camp. Sometimes I went with him, sometimes I didn't, but one time when I didn't go with him he ran into two kits talking with GeodePaw(I think). They turned out to be your mother and aunt, Kieko/EmeraldLeaf and CelesteComet. He invited them to come live in SpectrumClan and they agreed. "

ThunderKit's eyes brightened at the thought that she could meet some kins at the Loners. It wasn't very far away... She might be able to slip away and come back in the morning. She would even bring LightningKit with her, though it'd be much more slower arriving there.

((Only Sora is left, did you know that?? I was surprised when it hit me. The Death twins are both 'dead': Gentle killed her off, I think, and Zenith left. Though Sora is in CelestialClan... Smoky is dead. Mira is dead. Cally is the only one left! Poor Cally...))

LightSun and this kit, now called FlameHeart made the CAE. Cats Against Evil to go against the Alliance. It was only for us kits and some apprentices. We had battles against them. Pretty soon into the CAE we became apprentices. Your mother was spy, pretending to be part of the Alliance when she was really in the CAE while LightSun was one of the head leaders. "

"Head Leader and Spy? Woowww.... Who run? Did the CAE won ALL the time? Were they the most powerful group? Were they like a military defense for the good cats?"
The questions spilled out so quickly, ThunderKit herself had problems to understand when she said.

SpeckledGlass laughed. " CAE won all the battles, but not without some losses. You see the Alliance didn't have as many cats, but they had some warriors, older rouges, apprentices, and then some kits. So they had more strength and better fighting skills, but the CAE had power in numbers. Pretty much we ganged up on them. "

LightSun began to try help your mother out. She was a bit more unsocial than Celeste and.... well she was just EmeraldLeaf. They fell in love after a while. The last battle was coming quickly and all the CAE were under tremendous stress. I was surprised when LightSun asked me to meet him alone a few hours before the final battle would begin. We were newly made warriors. I of course agreed and met him. That's when he told me that StarClan had chosen him to die ending the Alliance. This was the first time I had ever seen him down. The first time I'd seen him cry. He told me to tell EmeraldLeaf that he loved her and to name one Lightningkit. I promised him I would and thats when he left. No one else saw him either until the beginning of the battle. He did indeed die in that battle. You could say that I was the last person to have a conversation with him before he died. " SpeckledGlass broke off remembering the memory as if it was yesterday.
