The Great Journey had been a dangerous time for the four clans of the forest. After loosing their home they were forced to trek across the land and over the mountains, where sadly many lives were lost. The most tragic of these incidents, was when a rockfall separated thirteen cats from the group. They were presumed dead by their clanmates and their losses were mourned. Unknown to the clans however, all of the cats survived. Away from their loved ones they went in the other direction, however they ended up even farther away. Eventually they settled down near the base of another mountain, and StarClan watched helplessly as their population grew. Seasons passed and soon their numbers could rival that of the original clans. They still lived under the warrior code and StarClan. A solution was found when a prophecy was finally sent by StarClan;
Four new Clans will arise from the Darkness
As strong as those beside them

The large amount of clan cats broke up into clans; the ThunderClan cats went to SunClan, RiverClan became RainClan, Shadow to Night, and Wind to Snow. It was settled, and boarders were made, and three generations later they still thrived.
