Echopaw watched them leave, her steely eyes unreadable. She never really thought they cared about her anyway, she turned her back and leapt back into battle.
Tourmalinekit pressed into DreamFall's fur. Let out a soft mew of protest, DreamFall was clinging to life...for some reason. Her eyes seemed to be searching for some one.

MudKit sniffled. DreamFall didn't have much longer in this world...
Riddlekit just stared at the fallen medicine cat.

Her gaze locked with Riddlekit for a brief moment, then looked away. She needed to see OpalDepths one last time...

AmethystPaw stopped turned around and ran back "ECHOPAW!" she called catching the battling she-cat and knocking a rogue over that was about to attack her "Come with us." she said quickly

Echopaw looked at her, her eyes expressionless. "Don't worry about me. My siblings never really cared for me. Just my plans. Go, if that is your desire." She meowed calmly. Even though the battle raged right infront of them.

"I wouldn't belong." She let her tail fall on Amythesia's flank, "My kin..." She stopped short, and sighed. "Perhaps later. If you take Gravepaw with you." She meowed, her eyes locked on the other shecat's.

"Grave!" She yowled, and the grey colored tom leaped beside Echopaw. He was breathing hard, a sliver sized cut on his forehead.
"Yeah?"
Echopaw faced her friend, "You can leave now." She purred, "Go with Amythesia. Please." She added.
"What about you? Aren't you coming."
Echopaw shook her head, "I'll come when my time is at an end."
Grave shook his head, he didn't understand what she meant but it definately wasn't good. He was going to contradict her when she fwapped him over the head.
"Look you've got the BIGGEST crush on Amythesia and here's your chance to be a happy. Now get!" With that she took off in hot pursuit of any flea-bitten rouge.
Grave felt hot underneath his fur. Embarressment. He averted Amythesia's gaze, "Shall we go?" He meowed sheepishly.

Amethystia giggled and tapped him with her tail "lets go, stay close..." she made sure he was close enough that the rogue scent she had been building off the rogues she was fighting covered his.... and she left the camp

NightStar chased the last rouge out of the camp and walked over to DreamFall. She was dieing and nothing could be done.

SeaShore licked DreamFall's cheek. "It's okay." The she-cat meowed. Dreamfall was one, the best, medicine cat to ever, and will ever, be medicine cat of MysticClan.

OpalDepths limped over to DreamFall, a long dirty red mark scarring one of her sides. OpalDepth's blue and green marbled eyes were dull. She had just witnessed the deaths of MineWraith and Roi. EverPain and her kits had vanished. And now DreamFall too?
"DreamFall," The young she-cat's voice cracked,
"Dont go... I need you so much now." Tears glistened in her eyes...

Dreamfall looked at her sister, her eyes filled with so much warmth, "Darling... It's my time. Starclan says this is how it was meant to be... how it was always meant to be." She rasped. She weakly grabbed Tourmalinekit by the scruff, "Here, I saved her from the rouges." She palced her gently at her sister's paws. "Opaldepths... I love you and I will always love you. I'll always be watching, Keep an eye out for Shiverfur for me." The light in her eyes were beginning to waver.

"You've always known." Dreamfall whispered, "I'd tell you to watch out for Echo too, but she's not a clan cat." there was a slight hint of humor in her voice, then she began to cough. Her limbs began to shake uncontrolably, "Good bye, Sister. You'll always be in my heart, as I shall be in yours." With that her eyes became dark, and her body became still.
She was gone.
Tourmalinekit feebly licked Dreamfall's cheek.

OpalDepths still looked confused, but that vanished as DreamFall died.
Shock.
Disbelief.
Anger.
Dismay.
Sorrow.
OpalDepths' emotions changed like a mood ring under cold water. She pressed her nose into DreamFall's fur and stayed there for a moment, too numb to do anything.
But then she got up, realizing that the clan needed her help taking care of the hurt. Mourning could wait till later...

OpalDepths picked up TourmalineKit and put her in the nursery with her siblings while she went to help an elderly tom cat limp into the med den.
