DustPaw stuck his head up, his fur in clumps where he'd been laying on it. He opened his gold eyes almost reluctantly. "Awwww... it is still dark, I should be sleeping.... bleh, wait... what are you doing in here?" He asked BlazingSun curiously.... Warriors never came into the Apprentices den. "I think I missed something" He muttered tilting his head to the side slightly. He flicked his ear and a piece of moss gently floated back down to his nest.... DustPaw shook his head to make sure all the moss pieces had fallen off him.

"I had a nightmare!" MintPaw meowed to DustPaw, it was funny how quickly she could come up with convincing lies. "I was running in my sleep, and kicked HotPaw, which is how he woke up, then I woke up screaming and BlazingSun was walking by the den and heard me, so he ran in to see what was wrong!"

BlazingSun blinked, looking at her curiously. Wow, she was good at lieing...
"Uh.." He hesitated, then snapped up sitting straight. "Yep. That's what happened."

DustPaw looked unconvinced, none of the cats seemed worried at all, or hurt, or looked like they'd been disturbed in any way...Plus BlazingSun wasn't good at hiding that he had no idea what she was talking about. "Yeah, whatever, I guess" He meowed shrugging not caring enough to push the issue... DustPaw got up to his paws and shook his dusty colored fur to get all the moss pieces out of the rest of his fur. "Ugh... It is way to early to be getting up" He complained looking at the moonlit sky outside.

"Then go back to sleep!" MintPaw snapped. She wanted to talk to BlazingSun some more, and DustPaw was really getting on her nerves.

DustPaw looked at her curiously as if he hadn't expected that from her. "Yeah, no, I'm already awake now, I won't be able to sleep for an hour or so at this point" He explained cooly and then went back to cleaning his pelt still giving her a curious expression... He was a little unused to having someone snap at him like that... DustPaw had never had parents to like watch out for him, teach him things like discipline and all... There had been no queens at the time of his kithood either soooo that would be why he wasn't used to being snapped at.

MintPaw rolled her eyes at him, and looked at BlazingSun. "Do you know what time it is?" she asked him. Trying to peer around the warrior to look outside and see how light the sky was.

"Just about dawn." BlazingSun meowed. He had been on the moonhigh patrol, and they usually got back just before dawn, when the sky was milky with the upcoming sun's light.

Hotpaw blushed and piped in, "Can I come?" Hotpaw glanced at the awakened Dustpaw and shrugged giving him a look of 'sorry bout that.' "Do you think the leader would mind?"

ValiantMoon was his HYPER-ACTIVE mentor and BlazingSun's closest sister. Whereever ValiantMoon went she dragged her brother BlazingSun along

BlazingSun flicked his tail with a grin that touched his eyes. "Trust me, you're not. She deprives me of sleep all the time, making me come with her all night on patrol, then spend the day with her training our apprentices." His voice wasn't bitter to his sister. She was his closest friend. "I'm used to it. Now, let's go."

BlazingSun smiled and shook out his fur, trotting out of the den and signaling for the apprentices to follow as he led the way out of the den towards the camp entrance. He stopped there to make sure they were following.
