FeatherNight snorted... that was a ridiculous thought... "Yeah right, you have bad reflexes so how do you expect to out-run me? You don't stand a chance BlackMoon" She playfully hissed at him before wiggling herself free from under his paws... which with his strength took a bit more effort then usual for the skilled young she-cat.

Blackmoon chuckled, "Oh I would not be so sure" he meowed as he watched her get up, Blackmoon eyed FeatherNight curiously, "Things are not always what they seem" Blackmoon meowed his eyes narrowed playfully. He knew he would lose but who knew maybe he would get lucky.

"Yet sometimes they are" FeatherNight countered sticking her tongue out at him. With that she got into a crouch ready to take off once BlackMoon did "We shall see, so where is the finish line?" She asked a mischevious glint in her narrowed blue eyes.

Blackmoon looked around for a second, looking for a good finish line. He spotted one, a nice big oak tree. "You see that Oak tree out there?" Blackmoon meowed pointing with his tail before taking off as quick as a bullet well sorta...

FeatherNight laughed and then sprang after him. She kept low to the ground making her body a bit more aerodynamic and her strong legs pushed her further until she was right beside him. At this point they were a little less then half-way there "I'm caught up already, I think you're gonna lose" She breathed and then pushed forward more until she was a few taillengths in front of BlackMoon.

Blackmoon pushed himself harder but he was more of a bulky, muscled cat then FeatherNight. He was right next to her as they closed in on the tree "Ha" he meowed with a smile. His razor sharp claws dug into the ground and pounded hard.

FeatherNight shok her head and then with narrowed eyes pushed herself faster. By the time she passed the tree she was practically flying a good bit ahead of BlackMoon. Of course she coudln't stop in time beside the tree soshe kept going and jumped into the nearest tree after that... The tree stopped her momentum if somewhat unexpectedly. From on the tree limb she grinned down at BlackMoon "I win" she boasted happily her tail waving above her. Unfortunately her plumy ended up getting stuck in the tree branch... "Darn, I hate it when that happens" She grumbled.

Blackmoon laughed as he stood by the original finish line, he kept laughing even though he was out of breath which made his sides hurt a little bit. "Yeah you did, don't rub it in though" he meowed with a smile as he stopped laughing.

FeatherNight stuck her tongue out at her friend before turning to the tree and smacking the limb a couple of times trying to disloge her tail... Unfortunately (she was having bad luck this day) she lost her balance and fell out of the tree right after dislodging her tail. She hit the ground in a bundle of calico fur with a decently loud thump.... "Gah!" She muttered

Blackmoon ran over to her worriedly, "Are you oK?" he asked looking down at her, his blue eyes were clouded with concern. He was pretty sure she did not break anything since it was not that high of a fall. "I see you need to work on you balence" he teased her with a wide grin.

FeatherNight glared at BlackMoon indignantly "I could be sitting here dieing and you're laughing at me! That is soooo mean!" She hissed half-way kidding though she was making it very dramatic... she ended with sticking her tongue out at him again.

Blackmoon sat down, "I'm sorry" he meowed and nudged her with one of his black paws. "You don't seem to be dying though." he teased inspecting her by poking her with his paw. He smiled easily, he looked at her with his sky blue eyes a smile playing on his face but he wiped it away and kept himself serious.

FeatherNight rolled her paws and then shook several leaves out of her pelt that had gotten stuck in her relatively thick fur. She fwapped BlackMoon over the ear just because she could and tehn sat down contentedly. "But I could have" She continued and then looked up to the branch that wasn't that high from the ground and even she had a disbelieving look on.

"Yeah, could have but I'm glad you did not" Blackmoon meowed and watched her look up at the branch he could not see her face though. Blackmoon flicked his ear to the chirp of the birds that were in the tree she had fallen from.
