SaborBlades walked out of the Warriors' Den with almost a saddened expression on his face. It was just after dawn so no cats were yet awake in the camp as the Dawn Patrol had just left while the late night patrol had already made it back to their dens. Him and CougarKnife had gone to see Death yesterday and she'd given him specific instructions about what to do with SnowPaw and then the consequences. He decided that to keep anything from happening to SnowPaw he couldn't have her as an apprentice. He was going to MothStar to tell her to give SnowPaw to someone else... SaborBlades wasn't really sure if she'd go with it or not as it had just gotten around that he'd just saved SnowPaw from rogues but still.... He let out a deep sigh glad that no one was up to see him having internal conflicts with himself.... If only his sister hadn't made things that much worse... She didn't understand and no one else did either so here he was all on his own. With thta he squared his shoulder and fixed his expression to the customary bored/somewhat scowling look. "MothStar?" He called into her den in a slightly respectful voice. He waited outside for permission to come in.

MOthStar turned to look at the tom, her face somewhat suprised by his slightly respectful tone. "Yes Saborblades, come in" Mothstar meowed her voice friendly as usual. Both Cougarknife and Saborblades were acting uncharistically nice.. well sorta. nice for being them anyways.

SaborBlades walked in and sat down. He looked at MothStar for a moment contemplating on if he should go through with this or not... he finally decided that he should much to his own disappointment. "Errrrr... SnowPaw needs a new mentor... I can't mentor her anymore" He finally meowed his tail flicking anxiously behind him

Mothstar's ears flicked at the mention of her daughter.
Was there somthing wrong with her she wondered her mind straying.
"Oh I see" Mothstar just meowed.
"Ok well Snowpaw's new mentor will be Bonetail, and your new apprentice will be Jaypaw" She meowed and flicked her tail.

SaborBlades flicked an ear and was frowning... He wasn't really sure if he liked the exchange.. Personally he'd much rather have just not had an apprentice, but it would be better in the long run to have an apprentice. "Alright, JayPaw then" He agreed and then got up to leave without being dismissed... there was only so much respect in him that he could give. "Ummmm... would you mind breaking the news to her? I'm due for a patrol" SaborBlades called over his shoulder stopping to wait for an answer... It wasn't completely a lie... he was due for a patrol but that really had nothing to do with why he was avoiding telling SnowPaw that she wasn't his apprentice anymore

Meanwhile, SnowPaw hurried out of the nursery, grabbed a mouse, then ducked back in with the food. she was no doubt feeding the queens. After another moment or two, she stepped back out and shook her long pelt. SnowPaw definately wasn't a kit anymore. She was growing up to be a fine apprentice, all of her baby feaatures totally gone to reveal a beautiful adult she-cat. She gave her pelt a few brisk lick, craning her neck to get some spots on her back. She hadn't noticed SaborBlades near the entrance of her mothers den yet.

SaborBlades nodded and then turned to leave completely when he noticed SnowPaw sitting outside. He let out a sigh and hurried out of camp... alone. If there'd ever been a patrol either he was skipping it or more logically, there never was one. He figured perhaps he'd hunt for a while... he had nothing else to really do that day.

SnowPaw looked up as a shape rushed past her, and wondered why SaborBlades was in such a hurry. She padded over to her mother's den and poked her head in. "Hi mom." she greeted happily. "Whats new?"

MothStar blinked twice and then motioned Snowpaw to come in, "Good to see you Snowpaw" MothStar greeted her daughter, she wondered how to break it to Snowpaw that her mentor could not train her anymore. She wondered how her daughter would react, dissapointed? happy? who knew. The tabby sighed, "Come sit" MothStar meowed flicking her thick striped tail.

"No there is somthing I need to tell you" MOthStar meowed her voice softer then usual. She hoped that Snowpaw would not feel to bad about this. "You have a new mentor; it's Bonetail" MothStar meowed her voice even as she waited for an reaction.

"But...but SaborBlades is my mentor." SnowPaw said, confused. "Why can't he train me? I don't want a different mentor. I want SabotBlades." she protested, getting to her paws. SnowPaws words were surprising; how could anyone want him as a mentor? It was clear she did.

Riverpaw sat outside the leader's den waiting for Snowpaw to come out so they can play. Trying her best not to over hear what was happening. To occupy herself she looked up to the sky.
Redpaw licked his paw and ran it over his face cleaning off the fresh kill he just ate.
Silverpaw sat beside Redpaw and watched the clans movements.

MothStar flicked her ear, it was odd that SnowPaw was so disturbed that her mentor was not SaborBlades anymore. Most cats would have been very relived. She looked up at her daughter. "I'm sorry honey, it's been done though, I'm sure it'll be fine" MOthStar meowed her voice soft but firm.

"But...but..." SnowPaw returned and padded quickly out of the den, rbushing right past RiverPaw. She plopped herself in a heap with her eyes covering her paws in front of the apprentices den.

"SnowPaw? Are you okay?" SnowPaw's handsome brother LunarPaw bounded over, surprised by her face. He had never seen his sister so upset. He layed his tail gently on her shoulder.
