Forest lay in a crumpled heap under an outcropping of rocks. His fur was soaked to the bone from the nonstop rain. It had been nearly a week since he had met Nightmare, and Forest had found himself thinking about her nearly everyday! Last night, he had been stupid enough to return to the edge of Rouge territory, where he had met her, to see if he could be lucky enough to see her again. Forest did meet someone, but not at all who he had been looking for. The hostile rouge had attacked him, and although Forest tried his best to defend himself, the rouge had been born to kill! When he had finished him, Forest was nothing more than a twisted, broken, and bleeding heap. The rouge had drug him to this place, the in-between of all the non-clan cats, and left him to die. Now Forest lay here, slowly bleeding and freezing to death, thinking about Nightmare!

"Forest?!" Came a voice. Beautiful, and to him utterly familiar. A black she cat raced over. "What happened?!" The she cat took hold of his scruff and carefully dragged him out of the rain and into the shelter of an outcrop of rock. She looked at him before scampering off again to get cobwebs, pressing them on his wounds carefully.

Forest, barley conscious, didn't know if this were real or not. But, deciding that he could feel the pain and cold, he decided it were real. And even if it's not he thought, I'll treat it like it is, because even if i'm dead or dreaming, at least im with Nightmare! "To strong!" Forest choked out, "Couldn't...... Fight...... Off!" Each word, each breath sent massive pain all through the tom's body.

Nightmare looked him over, not sure what to do. She decided to sit down and wait until he was okay... or not okay. She groomed her water filled pelt and watched him carefully, eyes searching.

Nightmare psuhed herself to her paws eagerly. "Yeah. Is it better?" She asked, a hint of urgency in her voice.

Forest manged to nod. "Bleeding stopped" he meowed, "But... my tail!" He twitched the end of his tail, which was twisted so the end was shaped like a 'J'.

"Ouch..." Nightmare meowed, feeling pity for him. "It'll get better. Mine did." She added with a grin, trying to lighten the moment. He had broken her tail before, so that's where she got it from.

"I don't know" Forest meowed looking up at her, he shrugged, bad idea. Pain shot from Forest's left shoulder all over himself, making him wince slightly. "Just some rouge, alone, seemed like they were waiting for me, but they stayed in the shadows so I never got a good look at 'em!"

Nightmare lashed her tail, eyes narrowed in anger. Her claws were unsheathed. She wanted a peice of whoever it was.
(HAve it come here and NIghtmare should chase it off lol)

Her fur grew hot, but she liked the praise. "Thanks." She meowed, purring. But she was still terribly angry.

Nightmare shrugged again. "I don't know. Just did?" She really didn't have an explanation. Her paws just brought her here, and she saw him.

"I don't know" Forest meowed, still smiling. "I guess you just make me smile!" Then, without a word of warning, Forest licked her on the cheek. ((Ooh, so dramatic! 0_o But really, is that supposed to be how they kiss, or what?))
