It was early dawn. The dawn patrol should be about to leave camp by now. The perfect time to sneak back in camp.
The lithe black tom padded over the border in a comfortable pace. He was relaxed. Finally he could rest from his guard job at the Caverns. Another tom, who looked a lot like a relative of VampireBat, was taking over.
He winced when a sharp stone torn one of his pad. He stopped to clean the wound, but just then he heard a sound.
DeadRhyme looked up, surprise in his silver eyes. Never, ever had he been caught before..

IronyPain walked out from behind a bush. She was moving somewhat stiffly so it was obvious she'd been waiting for him for awhile. 'Where've you been?' Her tail flicked quickly in their own made up language per se that only he understood. Her red eyes were narrowed suspiciously as she waited for him to answer her

He hesitated.
"Out for a walk," he said, smiling. It wasn't exactly a lie, but it was quite lame for an answer.
The black warrior sat down, ready for a long conversation. He knew IronyPain won't let the subject drop easily..

Yeah right! You been going for a walk all day practically everyday? Irony asked her face obviously disbelieving while sitting down as well, definetely not going to let the subject drop

He shrugged, forcing to keep the smile glued on his face.
"You know me," he replied. He then twitched his whiskers. "Rogues instincts. It's hard for me to stay in one place for a good amount of time."

Rhymes tried not to look at her in the eyes, but failed.
With a sigh, all smile gone, he got up and padded toward her. He then sat down, their pelts brushing.
"Ever heard of the Shadowed Doom?" he began, looking defeated.

Duh.. Of course I've heard of the Shadowed Doom and the CAE for that matter. Shadowed doom is a bunch of rogues mostly that are going against the CAE She replied shrugging slighlty... and then her eyes hardened slightly Did you join them?

"Yeah. My whole family is in it. Of course I did. I have this little duty over there; I'm the guard of the prisoners. It's hard seperating my time between here and there, ya know," he explained. He obviously didn't know IronyPain was in the CAE..

That's why I followed him to the CAE meeting... I met my mom there too IronyPain explained. She obviously hadn't realized how badly that whole encounter at the meeting had changed her brother, and so that question sort of confused her....

He nodded. "See? You did it mostly for your brother, by loyalty. I feel the same way for my mother and many half-siblings," he explained, silver eyes kind of unhappy.
"So," he said, wanting to change the subject. "Is your mom cool?"

Irony looked unhappy as well He's in the Shadowed Doom and I'm in the CAE... but she let the thought trail away as she didn't particularly want to think of that right now... Suuuure... I guess... we didn't really talk She continued giving a slight shrug

'Well, errrrr... Despair wasn't being nice by any means, made her pretty mad IronyPain explained Then Despair almost killed her... which I imagine didn't go over to well She then added leaving out the fact that Despair almost killed her as well.

He closed it and shook his head. What could he say? They were kits of VampireBat. He isn't the average friendly guy, so...
"Guess that didn't went to well. Did you and Despair joined the CAE in the end?" he asked, as if this were totally normal everyday-day kind of conversation.

"Well then, wise one, what do we do? Especially during the battles. I'll be watching your back, that's for sure, but I ain't going to have any mercy for your CAE friends. I have to kill and injure the most possible, IronyPain. It's what we do. It's what the CAE will do to me and my Shadowed Doom friends, too."
