Sparroweye purred also. He was starting to really like IceFeather. She was beautiful. He just met her, but she was perfect.

IceFeather looked at her paws, then back at SparrowEye. "Thanks." She purred, smiling to her. "So... what now?" She meowed, still in a bit of a daze.

Sparroweye sniffed too. He thought he could smell rabbit, but he wasn't sure.

IceFeather then crouched. Her sense of smell told her there was a mouse nearby and she could hear the little paws scuttle against the ground. She pressed her belly to the cold forest floor. The white she cat slowly stalked forward into tall grass. On the other side, she small a brown mouse nibblings on tree seeds. I can tell Leaf bare is here, the prey is scrawny and scarce. She thought. She leapt out and closed her claws around the mouse and gave it the killing bite. She brought the mouse back to SparrowEye. "Prey is so msall now." She sighed, looking at the mouse.

"Oh, don't worry about that. I'm sure we'll find enough to make a pretty good meal. I'll be right back," he said as he heard a rustling noise. He crouched to the ground. Sparroweye stalked away silently. Then he saw it. I knew I smelled rabbit! he thought as he pounced and swiftly finished off the rabbit. He picked it up and brought it back to IceFeather. He dropped it and nudged it towards her. "Here, you can have it," he purred. It was unusually plump. "You deserve it for being so beautiful."

IceFeather's smile lit up her face again. "I don't really deserve prey for being pretty. Go to work for it." The white she cat meowed, her smil;e on her face the whole time. "But thanks." She purred a smooth purr. She wasn't getting embaressed anymore by his comments and compliments, but she always felt that same thrill. She took a bite of the rabbit and pushed it toward him. She swallowed. "Want some?" She meowed. "I'll be happy to share." She layed down on her belly.

Sparroweye smiled and crouched down. "Why, thank you. But really, I can just tell it about you. You deserve more than you're getting out of life. Something troubles you. I'm just not sure what," he mewed and took a bite. When he finished, he said,"but anyways, feel free to dig in to this rabbit. It's unusually plump. There's plenty for both of us!" he purred and took another bite.

IceFeather nodded and looked away. "yeah, pretty much..." She sighed and took another bite of the plump rabbit. She chewed slowly, savoring the taste, since she knew it would be a lot harder to get later on. She pushed it to Sparroweye in a graceful and swift movement and watched him. She looekd at her paws.

Sparroweye purred. "You know, this is taking too long, pushing it back and forth like that. How about I just come closer?" he mewed and in one swift movement came up to her side with the rabbit and settled down again. "There, much better." he purred and took a bite, savoring the sweet, juciness. "Put the past behind you. Forget about that, and think about what's right in front of you," he said as he looked deeply into her eyes.

IceFeather locked eyes with him for a long moment, then meowed, without looking away. "I am..." She meowed, her pelt brushing his white,brown, and black fur. "And I can't believe how lucky I am." She tore her gaze away from his yellow eyes to take a bite of the rabit, then let him take one.

Sparroweye purred and took a bite of the juicy rabbit. "Well, I'm pretty lucky too. I've found a clan. My sister had her kits," he paused for a moment. "And I have you." he mewed at last.

IceFeather smiled. "This is really the highlight of my life." She smiled and gazed around. "There is nothing I would rather do then be here, in the Forest of Love, with you." She smiled again. "I could never thank you enough." She thought of another thing to say. "So, you're kind of the father figure with your sister's kits I'm guessing?" She mewed, trying to start coversation.

Sparroweye purred,"Yes, I'm like their father. I love them all so much, sometimes I wish they were my kits," he let out a sigh. "Oh well, I'm still happy. Oh, and, don't thank me. It was just luck, or as I see it, pretty lucky for me," he purred.

"Well, I had a lot of friends. My best friends were DespairSong and JoyfulCry. I had two aunts and an uncle, GoldenPelt, MintStripe, and MetalClaw. The clan leader was my father," he mewed sadly. "He hunts with Starclan now."
