Among the shadows of the Bog plants a dark shadow could be seen weaving through the shrubs, only visible by his ice blue eyes. He had been relatively bored back at the Cavern Rogues so he decided to come and visit his best friend, Lithy. Entreri stopped just inside the border and rolled in the mud, to hide his scent and to blend in a bit better. He hissed slightly at the uncomfortable feeling as the mud seeped through his pelt and to his skin. 'How does she stand it here?' He wondered shaking his head. He hated it already. Entreri plunged through in the general direction toward camp. Despite what he called clumsiness and unfamiliarity with the territory very few would have caught him, even if they passed within a hundred yards. He ran up a tree and sat in the shelter of the leaves where he could see the entrance to the camp, where he'd wait for Lithy. She'd have to come out eventually. Entreri sighed, as he waited his mind drifted back to the past, in his many expeditions that he'd done. Before he realized it a young tom had noticed Entreri in the tree branches and was sneaking toward him. Entreri noticed just before the tom obviously a young apprentice had gotten close enough to attack him. He silently cursed himself at letting his guard down because now he'd have to dispose of the witness. He dropped onto the apprentice who gave a short yowl and rolled over in a defensive move. It was a crude move it seemed to Entreri, who easily dodged and cut through his defenses enough to put a claw into his throat. Entreri jumped off and hid VolePaw's body a good distance away, but was caught by another warrior on the way to that hiding spot. Again cursing himself he leapt at the she-cat before she yowled a warning to her clan. This was a bit more of a battle, but still the moves seemed elementary, and within moments the battle was over with Entreri's jaws wrapped around the she-cat's now limp neck. This time making sure that no other cats were around he was able to hide both the bodies, at least temporarily and left, leaving DappledGranite's and VolePaw's bodies behind as he walked back to the tree where he would remain hidden. He licked the remaining blood off his teeth quickly and then stopped dead as several thoughts suddenly hit him.... 'What if those were Lithy's friends.... or those cats were at least going to fight for the Shadowed Doom... and he'd just killed allies.' He shrugged off the uncomfortable thoughts (at least the first one was uncomfortable) deciding that at this point nothing could be done about it. He really couldn't see either of them being very important to Lithy, which that thought made him uneasy nonetheless, and also relatively jealous, which was starting to annoy him. Just as he hid himself once again in the tree, he caught the scent of Lithy finally coming out of the camp entrance. He smiled slightly as he waited for her to get farther away from the camp that he could call out.

The tiny white she-cat was frowning hard, looking quite disgusted. ToxicKit & SludgeKit were so annoying! Poor FruitKit, she acted well against her brothers.
The scent of blood suddenly hit her, and her purple eyes widened as she looked widely around. She could only recognize one of them.
"VolePaw?"

Entreri would have slapped himself in the face at Lithy's immediate reaction to the now dead younger apprentice. He hesitated slightly now those earlier thoughts coming back to him once again, but recovered himself quickly and hissed, just loud enough to catch Lithy's attention... if she was listening. His tail flicked impatiently behind him, just ready to get the whole waiting over with, wondering if perhaps this was a bad idea to come over here.

"Jeez, VolePaw, you look dead..." Lithy mewed, poking the young apprentice. His heart wasn't beating. "Oooh...."
She jumped at the hiss, looking around with huge eyes. Finally, she spotted the killer.
"Entreri!!" she squealed running toward him. She touched noses too quickly for him to do anything about it. "I'm so happy you came! Wait, is there an urgency? Are your siblings okay?"
If she kept talking so loudly, some cat was bound to hear her high-pitched squeals soon enough....

"SHHHHH...." Entreri hissed softly trying to silence Lithy. "I'm not supposed to be here and somebody is gonna hear you're squealing. No, just came to visit" He explained looking around warily to make sure that no one was coming to see what was going on brought by Lithy's squealing.

Lithy nodded quickly, happiness filling her eyes. "It's so nice you can come!" she whispered. "You should taste the fish here. It's the best! Come, come," she sang, dragging Entreri after her as she skipped through the mud. She seemed to never get dirty, even if she was stepping in ankle-deep slushy mud.

Entreri the exact opposite of Lithy's wonderful never dirty self, was picking up practically as much mud as possible, without even really trying. He hated it, quite alot, but it did cover up his scent for the most part. He followed Lithy quickly still looking to see if he needed to avoid some randomly walking cat again. "How are the fish any better here?" He finally asked, just to break the silence and to him fish tasted like fish....

She flicked her tail at him, amused. "Because the fish here never experienced being a prey before. It grew fat, eating healthy never-touched and not-polluted food, making it taste very good. No metallic taste from two-leg work," she explained.
Her eyes spotted a small part of the swamp, deep enough for fishes to be caught. She sat down, her shadow behind her, no reflection in the water. She looked down in the murky water, and waited, and waited...
And then she swiped. A big fish flew to Entreri paws.
"Quick! Kill it before it jumps back into the water!"

The moment Lithy yelled for him to kill the fish Entreri dove for it, just before it fell back into the water. He killed it with one bite and then sat it down. The fish was indeed one of the biggest he'd seen recently... or ever, for that matter. He took a bite out of it, and quickly agreed with Lithy "You're correct, it is pretty good for a fish"

"What can I say? I'm always correct," Lithy giggled. She watched with amusement as he ate the fish.

Lithy giggled again.
"Everything here is peaceful. So much it's boring me to death. I don't think VolePaw deserved to die, by the way. I don't know about the queen though... never talked to her before."

"Oh.... well thats good to know I suppose. They couldn't really fight well anyways, so they couldn't have been much help in a fight." Entreri explained and sat up wrapping his tial around his muddy paws. "It was boring over at the rogues as well"

"We SHOULD, but they don't seem to wanna. Yeah, Vierna went off doing spy stuff I believe, I don't know where Kyla goes half the time, and I suppose Van is with one of them wherever they are, so I decided to pay a visit" He meowed looking at the landscape around him. "You know I really don't like it here... its too... muddy"

She beamed at the remark about her new home. "Ya think?"
Then, without warning, she pushed Entreri into a puddle of mud. Amusement glinted in her purple eyes. "Ya look like the abominable mud cat now!" she laughed.

Entreri grimaced as he felt even more mud seep through his fur. He glared at Lithy, but it really had no effect and just jumped back out of the mud. A wide mischevious smile spread across his face a split second before he unexpectedly pivoted and tackled Lithy into the mud on her other side. "Ha! I got you this time" He hissed beaming before backflipping off of her and landing neatly on his paws on solid ground.

She giggled, rolling on the ground, getting muddier. She stood up again and shook her pelt. "You're quite handsome with a brown pelt, actually. Makes the blue of your eyes stand out," she stated, smiling.
Then she did a grateful spin. "How 'bout me?" she asked in a sweet soprano voice. "Do I look good as a brunette?"

"Well, very beautiful, but I still prefer you as a white. It makes your eyes so much prettier" He decided after much thinking and then turned and looked at himself. "I don't see how you can tell my fur is brown when its naturally black... It still looks black to me..." He then commented narrowing his ice blue eyes.

She rolled her eyes. "You're full of mud, Entreri. Which makes you a brown-ish color until you get a good cleaning. Hey, maybe we should throw mud balls on every innocent cat we see? They'd never recognize us."
She smiled hugely at the thought, planning.

Another mischeviously evilish grin crossed his face as he thought through the plan "Alright! Lets go have some fun terrorizing some kitties" He decided already making mud balls to throw at the other cats that passed by.

Entreri narrowed his eyes thoughtfully while still preparing mud balls... "hmmmmm... Lets do both! You face the rogues and I'll face into the BogClan territory and we'll throw them at anyone that comes close... It might even cause a fight between the rogues and BogClan.... orrrr... we could just run around rogue territory throwing them, they would be more of a challenge then the BogClan kitties" He decided looking at Lithy for conformation of which.

She frowned, thinking hard. Both sounded fun. "I like both. How about first we do the battle-thing, then we run around?" she suggested, grinning evilly. "Sounds good?"

(hee hee hee... tends to rub off on you when you read the books that I am XD XD good books those are  ) "Sounds awesome. So you got the rogue side and I got the BogClan side, now when we see someone pass by we throw a mud ball .... or five at them. Lets get started" He mewed picking up as many of his mud balls as possible and threw them into a ditch that was within BogClan borders but on the rogue border as well. |
