The staring contest was starting to freak Helios out, and he took a coward-ish step back, which made him go beside DawnKit. The bronze tabby blinked, as if just realizing in what mood DawnKit was. "Hey, what happened?" he asked. Helios has always been the kind of cat to care for everyone else.

Lethe lifted her chin slightly. No one could of known if she had blinked, her black fur being just slightly lighter than her eyes. Though she was the first to look away, it wasn't without a mutter about StifledKit being a wasp-brained overgrown newborn.

"What's the matter Dawnkit?" Jeweledkit taunted, "What's with the dramatic eye-roll?" She sauntered over to the young she-kit. Her ruby red eyes scanned the she-kit thoughtfully.

Stifledkit chuckled good naturedly. "So what are you all doing out here?" He asked calmly, a half smile on his handsome face.

"None of your buisness. I can roll my eyes whenever I want to" Dawnkit meowed curtly back. She rolled her eyes again, just because she could not backing down and inch from Jeweledkit.

Jeweledkit laughed sweetly, "Of course. But let me tell you," She paused, "You look horrible when you roll your eyes... I mean I should think you'd want to know. I don't think any suitable tom would date you if you'd look like THAT."

"mhmmm yeah whatever..." Dawnkit mewed not concerned at all.... whats it matter anyway. nothing to her. "Toms are stupid anyways" she muttered rolling her eyes again....

Lethe snickered. She flicked her tail when Helios joined her and sat down beside her. Last thing her brother wanted was to be stuck in the middle of a girl fight.
"JeweledKit, can't you read body language? DawnKit is telling us to leave. Her. Alone."

"Why do you think I'm prying on her?" Jeweledkit answered innocently. Turning her triangular face to the other she-kit, her eyes glittered with amusement and hinted with wickedness.

"Why don't you just shut up. Nobody cares about you anyway" Dawnkit stated matter-of-factly her eyes flashing toward black again. Her lips pulled back showing her two vampire sharp fangs that would intimidate practically anybody.

But Lethe wasn't even paying attention to DawnKit anymore. She was standing up right in front of JeweledKit. Even though she was very tiny, she a very intimidating. "Because. What if someone told you that? That little attitude of yours will make toms coward in fear, and not take a liking in you," the black she-kit hissed.

"I'm hurt." Jeweledkit meowed, "Real hurt." She rolled her eyes. She sat down and curled her tail around her paws, Dawnkit's words actually hurt more than she let on. But she was an extraordinary liar. No one could tell... besides her brother.

Dawnkit couldn't help, but smile, she was pleased for now even if Jeweledkit hadn't shown she was hurt by the words... it was just common sense to Dawnkit..... she'd said what she wanted, and now was content, of course that wouldn't last long at all. She looked around for her sister... she hadn't heard her talk in a while....

Jeweledkit stretched and heaved out a yawn, "If anyone goes looking for me, Tell them I went to visit my parents graves." She meowed softly, as she smiled at the other; it didn't touch her eyes.

Stifledkit's hackles rose, That's not good. Jeweledkit only visits thier gravesite when... He shrugged it off and nodded to her as she left. "Fire and Ice." He murmered. At that he could see Jeweledkit smile ever so faintly before she was engulfed in the shadows all together.

Lethe watched her go, raising an elegant eyebrow. She turned around and padded toward her brother without another glance, as if it all didn't matter.
The tiny she-kit looked at VoleKit impatiently. "So now what do we do?" she asked the other kit impatiently, as if he knew.

Helios sighed. "How about we fish?" he suggested, looking around. Both he and his sister came from an island where fish was the only prey, and they were excellent fishers and swimmers.

"You guys do know how to fish, right?" Lethe blurted, hysterically laughing.

He ignored her and kept going, "We could show you. It's easy, really."

Seakit mewed "Can you teach me how to fish Lithe?" The blind tom behind her just twitched his tail. He would be usless to the clan he thought. Starkit sat down and waited for movement.

Lethe was about to snort, but by the look her brother gave her she decided otherwise.
"Oh course," she meowed, adding a rough purr.
She then glanced at StarKit and half-smiled. "Though your brother would be better at fishing. Being blind, he can surely feel the fish, and get the timing perfect. See, Helios? I told you being blind can sometimes be an advantage!"

The tabby kit sighed and nodded mechanically, as if this happened every day.
He padded toward the swamp's edge, not too deep and not too shallow. "Just try not to fall in," Helios muttered. He looked at the sky and then at the ground, making sure his shadow wasn't cast in the water.

Volekit jumped up and down on his way to the pond. "So how do we do this?" He asked curiously, and excitedly looking at Helios then Lethe.

Dawnkit followed slowly and sat down farther away from the crowd of kits. She would watch... get the gist of it, and then come out later by herself to figure it out. She wasn't one that would purposefully make her self look mouse-brained in front of all the kits.

Helios smiled. "See how I'm placed, VoleKit? My shadow does not reach the pool. It's behind me instead. That's very, very important. And don't to the deepest side, because all the fish will be hiding too deep to catch. It works better with rivers and steams though. So try finding somewhere where swamp makes a line, not a circles, like a path," he explained.
The tabby then looked down in the water, and kept his paw unsheathed, high and ready. "Patience is important too. That's probably why my sister rarely catch anything."
Suddenly, he swiped his paw in the water at the speed of sound, throwing a brown and green fish out of the water. The fish actually had one slimy whisker at each side of it's oval face, and it was trying to jump it's way back to the swamp. Before he was even close, Helios jumped on it and killed it with a death bite.
"Cat fish," he snickered, his smile widening to a grin. "It isn't that good and has lots of bones, but it's better than toads, if you ask me. Come now, VoleKit."

Lethe stuck her tongue out at her brother. "Let's see if me, DawnKit and StarKit can catch more than you, VoleKit and SeaKit," she taunted him, confidence in her voice. "If he plays, he's not in my team," she growled, pointing with her tail StifledKit.

"Then that means I have four players and you only three."

"So? I'm faster." She paused and looked around at each kit. "DappledKit will be in my team too. So there. It's even."

"You'd be scaring the fish away in not time, Lethe. You're too impatient and arrogant. Speed doesn't play a big role in finishing, the technique does."

She stomped the ground in annoyance. "We'll see," she hissed.
"DawnKit, StarKit, DappledKit, come here right now!"
She practically clawed her way to the side of the swamp, the sun facing her for her shadow wouldn't touch the water. "Make sure you feel the warmth of the sun in her face, StarKit. Like that your shadow won't be in the way. Then just sit on an edge that isn't very deep, where the underwater echoes are loudest. Keep your claws and paw ready, and when your feel movement, swipe! Kill the fish very quickly after that," she said to the blind tom, her voice still sharp after the confrontation she had with her Helios.

Starkit padded to the pond and sat down. His paw stretch and ready to strike. A bass looking fish swam by and Starkit struck with mighty force that the fish was stuck to his claws. His face brightened as he held the fish, he turned and quickly killed the fish before it could escape.

Seakit watchd her brother catch a fish with shock, "WOW Starkit your a natural."

Lethe smiled widely. One-one.
She looked at DawnKit and DappledKit expectantly, and then looked down at the water. She swiped her paw and a golden fish fell to the ground by her, which she killed by slashing at it's belly.
She was about to laugh at Helios about how much the golden fish looked like him, but the tabby also caught a fish just then, a smaller black one. She snorted and stared back down at the swamp, waiting... waiting...
Finally she stomped the ground. "Come one you three, catch another one!"
By stomping, she made the water shook, and as result the fishes scattered. She sulked.

Dawnkit hesitated.... she didn't like being ordered around, but she did want to catch a fish so she stomped over and sat down beside Lethe making sure her shadow wasn't over the water and held her paw over ready to strike. She waited longer than normal, since Lethe had accidently scattered the fish, but once one came by she struck out and flipped the fish onto the bank. It landed dangerously close to the edge, but she was able to grab it just before it escaped into the water.

Volekit watched Helios closely before getting into the position. He mimicked him best he could and struck out as soon as he saw movement. He flicked the fish up into the air, but it twisted in mid-air and fell down back into the water. VoleKit frowned, but got back into the position quickly..... He wasn't going to be outdone by a fish.

"Woah, that was good for the first try, VoleKit. Just don't swipe too high, bat it away toward the edge," Helios instructed as he looked back down for a fish.

Lethe smiled at DawnKit. "We're winning," she chanted, as she re-positioned herself.

Volekit beamed at the praise but didn't take his eyes off of the water. When he caught movement once again he angled his paw more toward the bank where the fish lay flopping, and then he killed it. Very pleased with himself.... after a few moments he was in the position agian scanning the water.

Dawnkit smiled slightly before she flashed another paw into the water and hooked the fish onto her claws. This one died quicker than the last one.

By the time Lethe caught another one, Helios has caught two more fish, and big ones, too.
Which pretty much angered the black she-kit even more. She was now glaring at the water, as if ordering all the fishes to leap out at her paws at the very moment.

Helios was glancing at her with worry. Please, please don't do anything to scare all the fish away, he thought desperately.

Starkit sat still with one paw stretched out like before and waited, pretty soon a huge fish swam by and like the was waiting for it all along he struck with claws out and threw the fish onto the beachy area. he quickly killed it and beamed with pride.

Seakit copied her brother Starkit and waited for a fish to swim by. After sometime Seakit saw movement as a fish swam by her the pounced on it and killed it. She also beamed with pride as she caught her fish.

"Six - Six," Helios shouted, loud enough for everyone to hear. "Twelve fish for BogClan. They'll be so impressed."
Just then he flashed his paw in the water, but instead of swiping up a fish, he threw muddy water on Lethe, DawnKit, StarKit & DappledKit. The bronze tabby laughed when a soaked Lethe glared at him, throwing the fish she just caught at her brother.
"Well, thanks for the fish. Seven for my team!"
He ignored his sister when she stuck her tongue out at him and yelled something about him giving the fish back at this very moment or else. His paw was over the water again, letting a too-small fish pass by harmlessly.

Lethe hissed and flashed her paw in the water, missing a big brown one because of her anger.
