"Once you remove the venom, I find that snakes taste wonderful." The pale gray she-cat yawned, showing her white teeth and pink tongue.
"But we probably wont find any snakes here. Squirrels are more likely." She glanced up into the branches of a nearby tree at a gray squirrel that was busy chattering to the stars and stuffing fruit from the tree into it's cheeks.

But Payne seemed to be waiting for BrightPaw to catch it for her. She kept her eyes on the squirrel in the trees somewhat expectantly.
She wasnt a tree-hunter at all, there were no trees where she lived. She was more a fisher... or sometimes even a frog hunter. They were plentiful in the cavern pools, where she lived.

Brightpaw remembered where rogues lived, no trees! Smart move! He thought to himself. He silently crawled up the tree and padded out to the branch. He wasn't a good tree hunter either, not at all, but he had to make this good. He lashed out hiting the Squirrel in the sidebefore leaping and grabbing it by the neck but was over the branch. He jumped into the next tree then climbed down.

"They should have named you EaglePaw. You fly like a bird!" The Rogue she-cat was clearly admiring. Her mix-matched eyes glowed brilliantly in the warm orangey moonlight as she gazed at him.
A slight summer breeze picked up, and on it, a few dandelion seeds flew past the two cats.
"But BrightPaw is a great name too." He seemed to have a bright personality, which was probably why they'd named him that. Payne didnt want to remember why Zarza had named her a twist off the word 'pain'.

"Maybe it was beginner's luck?" The gray she-cat glanced up at the empty branches.
"If there was another one, maybe I could end up with the same luck??" She laughed, then fell quiet.
"Nice catch, anyways."

Payne laughed skeptically,
"I could never catch a squirrel." She tentatively pulled the squirrel close to her and took a bite, then passed it back to BrightPaw. The gray she-cat never had much of an appetite.
